20:10 I have you beat, brother. Lol. I had a phone conversation with a guy for 2 hours. He was a slow talker and was doing tasks, such as driving and entering his office or whatever, while talking. Of course, it's partly my fault because I kept asking him questions. I was curious about his industry. He never became a client.
10:00 Agreed. Budget questions scare people away. I find that it's best to display starting prices for packages, and then tell them a more accurate price estimate during a conversation.
One suggestion I’ve learned over the years regarding price bracketing is to start with the higher number first. So, you would say it’s between $20,000 and $10,000. It sort of flips the client’s expectation around because they hear the higher number and assume the range will go higher, but when they hear the lower number next it takes a moment for them to process it and so the range seems more reasonable - potentially making them go for a middle or the higher number because they don’t want to be perceived as choosing the option of “lesser value.”
I am getting more and more concerned on who NOT to work with than who to pitch to lately. Once I know they are a great fit - full steam ahead... Vetting is so important.
Thanks for the insight into your process. Mines is somewhat similar saying typically our customers make an upfront investment between $-$$ and a monthly fee of $. Is that something you're comfortable with? That way we get the price objection out the way immediately. If they're not comfortable with it, we end the call and if they are we proceed.
5:58 In my experience on other people's websites, a message at the bottom of the form after submission, even if the form disappears, is not the best way. A thank you page with more CTAs (follow, like, subscribe) is best.
I've tried using both a booking calendar and a simple contact form. While I've booked more video calls and more leads with the booking form, I did get quite a bit more spam. Also some people who just sign up and no show.
@markjszymanski I learned that booking calendar paired with PPC is an absolute nightmare, but with organic ads in Facebook group, it's secured two of my current clients.
I once had a person schedule a meeting with me in my Calendly. I did some research on the person's given name, email address, phone number. None of the info was real and they never showed up. I no longer use the calendar scheduling function during their first contact.
Discovery and selling is what I struggle with the most. I can build pretty much anything but that's not enough anymore in this industry.
I feel that. That's why selling/focusing on revenue is my goal for 2025.

I'm naturally curious and consultative, it can lead to wasted time sometimes haha

Yea, that's a good strategy
11:56 Agreed. Both great questions. I like to include an Other write-in to cover all options.
Yea, LatePoint has yet to add the Other option

I've definitely heard that strategy before as well. Definitely throws them off in a good way haha
I bought TidyCal lifetime on AppSumo. Great deal!
Haven't tried, but heard good things, nice!
Excellent, excellent, video!
Appreciate you, Tobi. 🙌🙌🙌

Yea, I think that's a nice way of handling it

I would agree, better for analytic tracking too

Yeah, I haven't found the absolute perfect setup just yet

36:48 Bingo. Set expectations before it's a waste of your time.
💯💯💯

Yea, same. I like to wait until after the first contact now.
