I am currently trying to beat this boss, and have rage-quit a few times now. Listening to the sped up voices of the characters in your video is literally the only thing helping me through this right now 😅
Lol. He was really hard for me, too. So what I did was I created a new persona at a higher level, because I was using a level 22 persona at the time. I ended up with a lvl 44 with inherited psi ability and was able to get past the green guys. It's a little RNG as well, but try getting stronger personas and see if that helps.
@@FirstPlace97 I've gotten close to beating the green guys a few times but the hunger + defense increase spam almost always makes them live with a sliver of hp. I have a deep hatred for the man who designed this boss fight.
I finally beat him. I saw on a thread on reddit where they stated to switch it to merciless (sounds insane, I know), and the green guys rng got me a few times but after the 4th time on merciless I finally got it (I also downloaded the free legacy DLC to get crazy stacked personas and that barely helped me any on this).
I'm the dummy that didn't realize I had to kill them all before they fled. I thought they were doing me a favor and saving me SP, and then I was wondering why the waves were endless. :/
which kinda sucks. im stick on the blue ones, and i flat out dont have enough wind damage to kill them all before they run away and i dont have another save. this boss just soft locked my game pretty much edit: nvm, turns out the fights a lot easier on merciless. boss kicking my ass on EASY, but its easy on merciless. who the hell designed this boss?
@@TheNatos Yup, you know that the design of the fight was *censored* when it ends up being easier in the settings that ARE supposed to give you a hard time, just wow... but still, the idea is to abuse the baton pass system (but for the most part you won't have enough items to cover the magic attacks you're supposed to use as weakness for that)... I'll have to see later how things go for me as I just arrived to this part of the game.
@@PikangsFutaba after failing i chose to go back, and i crafted a bunch of extra bombs and spent a couple hours leveling(got Joker to about 48). abusing the baton pass on merciless made the fight super trivial good luck xD

my main problem with this fight is that even in speaking the timer still ticks. so i was skipping through the text that said “kill them off one by one.” why not just have the timer stop when you’re talking? that’s dumb. i mean this whole palace is dumb but the boss really pissed me off. thanks for the walk through tho! really helped out.
For those still struggling with this boss, put the difficulty on merciless. Critical hits do way more damage, meaning you can wipe the waves of enemies in no time. For the executive bot at the end I recommend trying to shock him and then hitting him with technicals, that’s all!
Ye. The first waves were really easy, but for me, it took some RNG to get the green dudes because they'd always get away with like 1 HP. I found that when he does the kamikaze, I end up beating them. Not the hardest boss but the most annoying.
HOT DAMN I just managed to best this insane boss by watching your vid haha thank you SOOO much! I swear it took me like 50 times or something ugh. I swear Okumura was a joke in vanilla P5 but daaaamn they definitely "fixed" him here. He's the cheapest and most difficult boss in the game so far that I've beat. It seems the affinity weakness and baton pass, BATON PASS especially, are the key here. I never had to utilize baton pass that much in vanilla p5 but damn they made sure to make sure the player knows exactly how to be good with it and utilize it to its full potential. Playing on Hard difficulty btw and this fight reminded me of the good old days that were Persona3FES with RNG bs maniacal AI patterns/strategies haha so glad I beat it. Thanks for the vid!
Thank you so much for this!!!!! Literally I have had the most frustrating time with this fight to the point I was tempted to camp inside Mementos until I was like level 50+ or something so I could one shot the robots. I'm finally going through this game blind, so i don't like looking a lotta stuff up, but man this fight was ridiculous. I hope the later boss fights in the game aren't this level of frustrating despite being at normal mode.
For people who are stuck. This fight is actually EASIER on Mercilless difficulty as you do more damage with your weaknesses. Make sure you fuse Red Rider so Joker has Mapsio, as well as keep a persona with ice, wind and electricity. I used Mona, Queen and Noir for my team. Other than that, it's sheer pot luck.
@@Bayan_fa make sure you're relatively high health throughout the fight. When the big bang order comes in, press circle to guard with every character on your team. Heal after the attack if needed.
I love how at the end I can just hear a sped up: "I FINALLY BEAT HIM-" lmao. I'm still struggling to beat him idk why it's so hard;; edit: I beat that damn Okumura! Tysm for making this guide lol
haha. It's just a little RNG but also combined with the right preparation. I wouldn't say I was best prepared, but I knew what to watch out for. The most RNG aspect is the spells cast for the green dudes and if you can get them fast enough.
Been playing hard difficulty and this only part where ima either just lower the difficulty or just cheese and use level 70+ personas, this boss phase is just sponge wave after sponge wave and the timer fact makes it so you dont even wanna pay attention to story/haru shadow
definitely the boss I struggled with the most. Green guys are a pain to kill in time. It helps when he sacrifices one so that you only have to kill 3, but that's RNG
I'm playing on normal and my god is this boss a pain. Did it my second try with 30 seconds left. Don't even want to think about hard. I'd probably grind like crazy, Fire Emblem style.
Yep, having a hard time. Even having a persona with 50++ strength using agneyastra didnt help. The blue ones have a very very high HP. Playing on hard btw
@@MatthewSmith-gm8eo i gave up trying on hard. I went merciless which makes weakness damage x3. The black one will be harder but you can beat the colored ones far easier.
Thank you so much for this video, I ragequitted multiple times and honestly I was so close to just quitting the game. I sought help mutliple times by looking up advice from others on how to beat this, but your video helped me the most. Once I changed the difficulty to merciless and targeted the weakness of the bots, I got lucky and one shot the big guy after ryuji stunned him with shock. Your video saved me thank you so much 😭❤
I recommend you go on merciless for this fight. I haven’t beat it yet but I got close because merciless gives a 3x damage buff for hitting weaknesses and crits. KEEP IN MIND that this applies to your opponents too. I also recommend that you use a trait that has something to do with hitting weaknesses. I got rlly lucky from the red alert in velvet room, and I got a trait that gave me 50 percent dmg buff for hitting weaknesses. Paired with merciless, it’s DEADLY. And make sure to get as many elements as you can so you can hit the robots weaknesses.
This wasn't that bad of a fight, granted, I did watch the video to learn what each phase was and planned for it accordingly. It's not too bad if you get some Baton Pass chains going in the rounds where you can exploit elemental weaknesses and unlock Hifumi as a confidant to swap out a party member in battle to match each wave. Upper level personas (44+) are a must for your damage dealing Personas and your party needs to be at least level 45 (pretty easy to do in-palace if you mange your SP usage well and hit weaknesses each time while doing some pre-leaving grinding; it also helps to have the Camera Strap equipped to gain some SP back each ambush fight and some Personas that have some SP usage reduction skills). Save scumming the Alarm Fusions is also an option for getting some Personas with some upper level skills (it's how I got a Bugs with Psiodyne and Pazuzu with both Ziodyne and Agnidyne which all helped out in the final stretch).
Took me two days, but I finally beat it. Followed along to your guide and had some sheer luck on top of it. Surprisingly, turning up the difficulty to Merciless made this fight so much easier with the increased weakness damage.
well i made it to the final part of the fight and all my work goes down the drain because the stupid robot decided to use the big bang challenge. i think i’m done for now..
FP i attempted it again today i finally almost beat it! you can probably guess what happens next... i’m extremely disappointed by this boss fight.. i had to fight the haru robot and i ran out of time.. *sighs* maybe next time..
After trying for two days I finally beat this. I just used your set up but at my current difficultly. The highest one kept getting me killed with the big bang.
Update: after 5 more tries got this ass hole. I used Mona, Haru and Mokoto, when the green dudes come make sure u keep raising your parties attack with Mokuto and Mona
Getting "Concentrate" on Joker and/or Ann will help finish off each wave more definitely. Since they only attack one target, you know who to guard on, so you can spend the rest of that turn setting up. Apply Concentrate first since it doesn't go away until you use it, buff your party attack on the turn one is set to explode, and let the next wave come in, then hit them with Marakunda and nuke the shit out of them. Spells are preferable since they cant crit and accidentally kill one before the other. You can get concentrate from Thoth at level 40. Most important thing to remember is this boss is designed to make you feel rushed so you feel compelled to try to brute force it, but, they give you more than enough time for the fight, and also the robots aren't ever a real threat to the party.
Legitimately took me 10 tries. I did merciless due to the weakness multiplier. I was able to defeat the first few robots easily. The 4 big ones got me. I had to spam and luckily RNG paid off. The big robot I beat in two turns. I got huge critical hits, shocked him with ryuji, and cheesed it with so many technicals. I withstood robot haru’s self destruction with 1hp left and finally hit Okumura
I'm really glad to learn other people had so much trouble with this boss and it wasn't just me. I managed to beat him as I pulled the Girimehkala I had to make Horus for the Seth fusion for the final Strength task, and used his Marakunda a lot, and a couple items I had that raised my attack. I really wish I had someone with a Matarukaja but I simply didn't, and for a few reason I'd be the only one who could cast Tarukaja and I'd be taking a valuable turn to cast it on myself. I didn't have a marakunda because I usually use debuffs on bosses only and most bosses are single target. Didn't realize they'd make these guys so much harder but I know now, and have made a separate save. I almost lost 80 hours of play time! I hope the rest of the bosses don't cause me this level of trouble.
On a first playthrough, Okumura should be the hardest. Rest of game is more enjoyable after passing him. But you will have some more bosses that require damage to multiple enemies, so remember that.
@@FirstPlace97 Good to know, I'm going to make sure I keep my marakunda for sure. I know the importance of buffing and debuffing I just didn't expect it to throw this at me. I certainly like that I can't entirely coast off of what I remember from the original version but man, this was a bit much.
@@ElectricBarrier The extra green guy is usually the problem for this fight. But damage to all, definitely want to have at least one attack per party member for the new final boss.
@@FirstPlace97 Honestly, the biggest hurdle for me was that Okamura kept casting rakukaja. The extra defense made it harder to finish him off in time and even when I won I needed to cast matarunda twice to do it. I have since gotten myself a matarukaja from kushinada in the casino dungeon and am going to carry it all the way to the end.

stuck for two days, went back in time a day to beef up the sonas. Got stupid high ALL damage attacks and STILL can't do it, this shit is getting ridiculous. I'm done.
it took me 5 hours to beat this boss on hard mode and your video helped a lot. it wasnt even that difficult it was those stupid green robots they kept running away when one was left then all 4 would come back it was so frustrating. the first 3 waves took 5 minutes and the black robot and haru robot took 4 😓 I finished with 5 minutes left on the clock
this battle was impossible at first but then i made red rider. It became quite easy lol If you are wondering, i got mapsio, Eigeon (heavy curse to all) and multiple severe damage magic. So i was able to literally baton pass murder everything lol. Ryuji and Mona got crits pretty consistently enough for me to comfortably survive. I did have a guide on my monitor on the side too which helped a lot lol. Oh and Haru+physical shield (tetrakarn or whatever its called) basically baited the executive director every turn. Once he big banged i simply guarded, then healed with Mona. Rinse repeat.

I am getting utterly destroyed,no matterwhat. Cant for the fucking life of me get all workers down to zero health,despite having the weaknesses equipped. Just 30 mins of absolute bullshit of more workers appearing,and self destructs. Fuck it,im done
Beating this Boss fight on Merciless is TORTURE, but seeing even those robotic big-wigs slain by Izanagi's Cross Slash; while enhanced with a few attack buffs was Worth all that. Other than that, I have one thing to say: THANK GOD I FINALLY FINISHED THIS BOSS FIGHT!!! GAH DANG GAME MECHANICS!!!
Nice. DPS was always my prob, trying to get the guys before they escape. If they escape, dying usually isn't a worry, but running out of SP or time is.
strategy here is to have both single target and aoe skills, so that you can do 3 psyodine for example on 5th wave then hit them all with a mapsio for even more dmg instead of just hitting them with aoes, thats how i beat it
Yo. anyone stuck on this boss, if you have royal it means you have the DLC personas, just go in with a persona that has heavy curse thats a high level from the DLC section and you should be able to take down the last wave with ease as long as you baton pass to joker last.
...Honestly, this run seems very lucky: I’m very surprised that no Concentrate Persona was used for the wave clears, and that no Baton Passing over 2 occurred.
You're right. I didn't use either of those, haha. But this was on my first playthrough on normal, so I suppose those abilities were needed. Obviously those would be very helpful here.
That was the worst Boss fight i have ever seen in any game. He was bad in the original game, but I couldn't imagine they really found a way to make him THIS cancerous. Took me like 3 Hours (if not more) to beat this guy, or rather his stupidass minions. I hate whoever did this from the depths of my heart.
Took me 5-10 minutes to realize that I’m supposed to knock out all the enemies in under 2 turns. After finding this out, I ended up beating Okumura in 25 minutes, and just battle. (Note: I’m playing on PC, so I’m not so sure if either platform is easier or harder.)
I don't care if it's late but I want you to know that I absolutely love you. This fucking fight with a nuisance to me. And thanks to your video I finally beat it. You are the best.

took me 6 tries, but only one on Merciless. You know a boss is broken when you get literally one shot in save mode, switch to Merciless and beat it first T. On Merciless though the fight is actually fun, on Normal mode there is not enough dmg to kill green dudes even with perfect Baton pass and lvl 80 persona, what a joke

First playthrough of royal. Playing on hard. FUCK this boss. I'm insanely jealous you got the suicide on that last thick boi. I've died to that wave 7 times now.
I stubbornly played this on hard and this was my strategy without using dlc personas. I was at level 43. Equip Haru with a "breeze ring" for wind Equip Ryuji with a "karma rinng" for psio Equip Morgana with a "karma" for psio Red rider can be electrocuted to get the karma ring. Also hell biker can be electrocuted for armor that has "210" defense (equipped only for the male characters) Jokers persona skills needed: Lower defense for all foes, lower attack for all foes, raise attack for all allies, raise defense for all allies, and lower attack for "one" foe. In my opinion, only raise your defense if you think the next turn will automatically kill your character since there are four robots each round. When you get to the third/fourth wave, the key is to kill the robots on their second turn. So on their first turn... 1. Use "concentrate" on Joker. 2. With your next ally, Hit one robot with a weakness then baton pass back to joker to "lower all foes attack" 2. Hit a second robot with a weakness then pass to joker again to "lower all defense" 3. Hit a third robot with a weakness then pass to joker a third time to raise attack for all allies. 4. By then a full turn has passed and the robots have probably attacked or is planning to self destruct. Use this next full turn to maximize your baton pass for ultimate damage. (Remember Joker must be the final attacker in the concentration/baton pass) When you get to the giant black robot. 1. Have Haru use tetrakarn on each turn on a different ally. 2. Have joker lower its attack. Especially after it uses "big bang" since it might do it consecutively. 3. Have morgana be your healer/attacker 4. Have ryuiji only attack and/or use support items to raise sp
Nice strategy. It seems that actually raising the difficulty can help because you do more damage per crit, but I guess you've shown us another viable strat with a different party comp. Nice job :)
Fuck's sake, I can't even get to fighting Okumura. I'm guessing this fleeing shit is new to P5R because I don't remember having this much trouble at all on the original game. I've leveled up to 45 by grinding in mementos, gotten the recommended persona, go in with a good party, and I STILL can't beat those giant robots. I hate everything.
Ramp it up to Merciless when you get your Personas right/levels up to where you're comfortable. On Merciless, you can pretty much take out each wave in one or two attacks if you use the right weakness. Green robots are still tough, but you can manage with the higher crit damage.
Going to try your strategy. Didn't know you could shock enemies even if they resist it. Kept using elec break with Ryuji to negate that so I could shock them even though he has shock boost.
@@FirstPlace97 Tried this fight 10 times now and went from Normal to Easy, 7 Normal and 3 on easy, and still can't. I really don't want to go to Safe Mode having got through P5 Original on Easy my first time and Normal my second time. I started P5 Original on Normal, but switched to Easy after I got stuck on the sort of Church Section at Kamoshida's Palace due to under-leveled Persona's. But I have Ryuji's max confidant Persona and a Level 45 Persona that was Alarm Fused with Mapsio and I'm level 42. Also have Persona's Level 35-40 with Mighty Gaze and Bless Boost ones with Blessed Bloodline. Yet the Green Ones won't go down and flee with one remaining as he gets a Defense Bonus and using Ryuji to lower it wastes a turn that would let me finish it.
@@SharkBait19904 I understand. Try to get the RNG with one green getting the sacrifice order. Sometimes it will come on the second turn of the second wave, and very rarely on the first wave. If you can manage to take one of those guys down via the kamikaze, you should be able to get the last 3. Maybe try to focus on the one with the extra health and get an extra turn before they flee so that you can kill them all at once with the weakness effect. Lowering to easy doesn't seem to affect damage output, sadly.
@@FirstPlace97 Easy and Normal do 1x damage to enemies and Safe Mode does 2x damage to enemies. Easy enemies just do .5 you compared to 1x damage, so Normal damage to you would be 20 compared to around 10 on easy, yet you do the same damage to enemies on Easy as you would on Normal. Yet for me the Kamikaze gets the defense bonus turn one and explodes turn after my turn is up. And then another gets it and I kill the other two, but it flees.
@@SharkBait19904 Oh, my bad. Well, I think for me, I got one to explode, and I think it was the one that got the defense buff, so sometimes you have to get a little lucky. It seems that if you get them to very low health, they will run and you will have wasted SP. Maybe try to focus just on the one with rakukaja and see if they don't flee after your turn is up.
everytime i somewhat close to beating this, i run out of time because i swear okumura takes 10 years to summon his robots and all the stat debuffs. i had issues with this on p5 because i was under leveled, but it was still a lot easier than this bs lmao
Finally beat it after 5 tries . Merciless mode make sure you have ann and her dekaja and matarunda. Have her spam it 2 outa the turns. Luckily i i had byako the tiger and he absorbs phys. Have yusuke attack and makota attack just make sure when the big bang comes up to decrease his hit evasions accuracy and att. Hope yall pass this
Hello, maybe they help me when okumura uses DISMISSAL, in minute 2:55 how can I reverse that attack and have more time to fight with the group of enemies?
@@FirstPlace97 I know that you have to kill everyone at the same time but I mean if there is any way to prevent okamura from using DISMISSAL or an attack that makes the firing effect take longer?

What do you think of the game? It's amazing how so much content can be put in persona yet with FF7 it's 30 hours with 100 GBs. P5R has 30 GBs I think. If P5R is not GOTY contender and FF7 is that would be a travesty
Well, I don't like all the pressing of X sometimes, but after just beating the 6th palace, I'm really having a change of heart (no pun intended) about the game. I really like the story and the music is amazing. The combat is really good too, but I feel like it's few and far between. After you rank up your confidants and get max stats, I'm not sure what to do in the real world anymore. But it is a really solid game overall. I can see why it got the scores it got.

Everyone keeps saying put it on merciless mode I do mond you I'm lvl 55 with all dlc personas at lvl 90 and I get one shoted as they only attack joker and I do use buffs and de buffs (speed, atk, def for allies) Edit: I'm starting a new game not ngp+ and new game where I just have arsene I was up till 2:00 in the morning trying to beat it so I give up on it I only got 7 days left until I fail snd get arrested so there's no point

They are the major obstacle. Good job beating it :)

I managed to get Haru bot to self destruct but the timer still went on during the cutscene, so by the time I got to Okamura himself I ran out of time.

HOT DAMN I just managed to best this insane boss by watching your vid haha thank you SOOO much! I swear it took me like 50 times or something ugh. I swear Okumura was a joke in vanilla P5 but daaaamn they definitely "fixed" him here. He's the cheapest and most difficult boss in the game so far that I've beat. It seems the affinity weakness and baton pass, BATON PASS especially, are the key here. I never had to utilize baton pass that much in vanilla p5 but damn they made sure to make sure the player knows exactly how to be good with it and utilize it to its full potential. Playing on Hard difficulty btw and this fight reminded me of the good old days that were Persona3FES with RNG bs maniacal AI patterns/strategies haha so glad I beat it. Thanks for the vid!

This fight is actually EASIER on Mercilless difficulty as you do more damage with your weaknesses.
Make sure you fuse Red Rider so Joker has Mapsio, as well as keep a persona with ice, wind and electricity.
I used Mona, Queen and Noir for my team.
Other than that, it's sheer pot luck.

@@Bayan_fa make sure you're relatively high health throughout the fight. When the big bang order comes in, press circle to guard with every character on your team. Heal after the attack if needed.

haha. It's just a little RNG but also combined with the right preparation. I wouldn't say I was best prepared, but I knew what to watch out for. The most RNG aspect is the spells cast for the green dudes and if you can get them fast enough.

Been playing hard difficulty and this only part where ima either just lower the difficulty or just cheese and use level 70+ personas, this boss phase is just sponge wave after sponge wave and the timer fact makes it so you dont even wanna pay attention to story/haru shadow
definitely the boss I struggled with the most. Green guys are a pain to kill in time. It helps when he sacrifices one so that you only have to kill 3, but that's RNG

I changed the difficulty to merciless to bypass the health sponge. But yeah the black one is harder. But it's more managable than the colored ones.

I sought help mutliple times by looking up advice from others on how to beat this, but your video helped me the most. Once I changed the difficulty to merciless and targeted the weakness of the bots, I got lucky and one shot the big guy after ryuji stunned him with shock. Your video saved me thank you so much 😭❤

I recommend you go on merciless for this fight. I haven’t beat it yet but I got close because merciless gives a 3x damage buff for hitting weaknesses and crits. KEEP IN MIND that this applies to your opponents too. I also recommend that you use a trait that has something to do with hitting weaknesses. I got rlly lucky from the red alert in velvet room, and I got a trait that gave me 50 percent dmg buff for hitting weaknesses. Paired with merciless, it’s DEADLY. And make sure to get as many elements as you can so you can hit the robots weaknesses.
This wasn't that bad of a fight, granted, I did watch the video to learn what each phase was and planned for it accordingly. It's not too bad if you get some Baton Pass chains going in the rounds where you can exploit elemental weaknesses and unlock Hifumi as a confidant to swap out a party member in battle to match each wave. Upper level personas (44+) are a must for your damage dealing Personas and your party needs to be at least level 45 (pretty easy to do in-palace if you mange your SP usage well and hit weaknesses each time while doing some pre-leaving grinding; it also helps to have the Camera Strap equipped to gain some SP back each ambush fight and some Personas that have some SP usage reduction skills). Save scumming the Alarm Fusions is also an option for getting some Personas with some upper level skills (it's how I got a Bugs with Psiodyne and Pazuzu with both Ziodyne and Agnidyne which all helped out in the final stretch).
Took me two days, but I finally beat it. Followed along to your guide and had some sheer luck on top of it.
Surprisingly, turning up the difficulty to Merciless made this fight so much easier with the increased weakness damage.
Good job. And yeah, I did make this video on normal mode, but merciless makes the game easier if you know the weaknesses.

For that part, or for any boss super-charged attack, you want to guard with a full health Joker and raise defense if possible (or lower their attack).
FP i attempted it again today i finally almost beat it! you can probably guess what happens next... i’m extremely disappointed by this boss fight.. i had to fight the haru robot and i ran out of time.. *sighs* maybe next time..

Getting "Concentrate" on Joker and/or Ann will help finish off each wave more definitely. Since they only attack one target, you know who to guard on, so you can spend the rest of that turn setting up. Apply Concentrate first since it doesn't go away until you use it, buff your party attack on the turn one is set to explode, and let the next wave come in, then hit them with Marakunda and nuke the shit out of them. Spells are preferable since they cant crit and accidentally kill one before the other. You can get concentrate from Thoth at level 40. Most important thing to remember is this boss is designed to make you feel rushed so you feel compelled to try to brute force it, but, they give you more than enough time for the fight, and also the robots aren't ever a real threat to the party.

Legitimately took me 10 tries. I did merciless due to the weakness multiplier. I was able to defeat the first few robots easily. The 4 big ones got me. I had to spam and luckily RNG paid off. The big robot I beat in two turns. I got huge critical hits, shocked him with ryuji, and cheesed it with so many technicals. I withstood robot haru’s self destruction with 1hp left and finally hit Okumura

I'm really glad to learn other people had so much trouble with this boss and it wasn't just me. I managed to beat him as I pulled the Girimehkala I had to make Horus for the Seth fusion for the final Strength task, and used his Marakunda a lot, and a couple items I had that raised my attack. I really wish I had someone with a Matarukaja but I simply didn't, and for a few reason I'd be the only one who could cast Tarukaja and I'd be taking a valuable turn to cast it on myself. I didn't have a marakunda because I usually use debuffs on bosses only and most bosses are single target. Didn't realize they'd make these guys so much harder but I know now, and have made a separate save. I almost lost 80 hours of play time!
I hope the rest of the bosses don't cause me this level of trouble.
On a first playthrough, Okumura should be the hardest. Rest of game is more enjoyable after passing him. But you will have some more bosses that require damage to multiple enemies, so remember that.

I certainly like that I can't entirely coast off of what I remember from the original version but man, this was a bit much.

@@FirstPlace97 Honestly, the biggest hurdle for me was that Okamura kept casting rakukaja. The extra defense made it harder to finish him off in time and even when I won I needed to cast matarunda twice to do it.
I have since gotten myself a matarukaja from kushinada in the casino dungeon and am going to carry it all the way to the end.

stuck for two days, went back in time a day to beef up the sonas. Got stupid high ALL damage attacks and STILL can't do it, this shit is getting ridiculous. I'm done.
Try that strategy again, but try it on merciless mode so that you get a damage boost for each critical/technical you land.
it took me 5 hours to beat this boss on hard mode and your video helped a lot. it wasnt even that difficult it was those stupid green robots they kept running away when one was left then all 4 would come back it was so frustrating. the first 3 waves took 5 minutes and the black robot and haru robot took 4 😓 I finished with 5 minutes left on the clock

this battle was impossible at first but then i made red rider. It became quite easy lol
If you are wondering, i got mapsio, Eigeon (heavy curse to all) and multiple severe damage magic. So i was able to literally baton pass murder everything lol. Ryuji and Mona got crits pretty consistently enough for me to comfortably survive. I did have a guide on my monitor on the side too which helped a lot lol.
Oh and Haru+physical shield (tetrakarn or whatever its called) basically baited the executive director every turn. Once he big banged i simply guarded, then healed with Mona. Rinse repeat.
i finally fuckin beat himmm. i put it on the hardest difficulty and after like the 4th try the rng was finally in my favor. i almost went back a week for a 3rd time thank god i didnt

Beating this Boss fight on Merciless is TORTURE, but seeing even those robotic big-wigs slain by Izanagi's Cross Slash; while enhanced with a few attack buffs was Worth all that.

I played it on hard and thought I was just under leveled. I was, but not nearly as much as I was thinking.
Sometimes the level can get you. It was at this point that I realized a lvl 20 Persona can't carry me through the whole game.
God damn, the only way I beat this boss was because Ann had Marakunda from the Jazz Club and Megidola from an almighty ring I got from an alarm.
Nice. DPS was always my prob, trying to get the guys before they escape. If they escape, dying usually isn't a worry, but running out of SP or time is.
strategy here is to have both single target and aoe skills, so that you can do 3 psyodine for example on 5th wave then hit them all with a mapsio for even more dmg instead of just hitting them with aoes, thats how i beat it
Yo. anyone stuck on this boss, if you have royal it means you have the DLC personas, just go in with a persona that has heavy curse thats a high level from the DLC section and you should be able to take down the last wave with ease as long as you baton pass to joker last.
crap couldn't figure out how to get past the green ones. so I have to take them all out a once.

That was the worst Boss fight i have ever seen in any game. He was bad in the original game, but I couldn't imagine they really found a way to make him THIS cancerous.

Took me 5-10 minutes to realize that I’m supposed to knock out all the enemies in under 2 turns. After finding this out, I ended up beating Okumura in 25 minutes, and just battle.

He was a real pain for me. Shido and the final boss are probably a lot worse though. It's all about elemental damage and baton passes.

On Merciless though the fight is actually fun, on Normal mode there is not enough dmg to kill green dudes even with perfect Baton pass and lvl 80 persona, what a joke

First playthrough of royal. Playing on hard. FUCK this boss. I'm insanely jealous you got the suicide on that last thick boi. I've died to that wave 7 times now.

I stubbornly played this on hard and this was my strategy without using dlc personas. I was at level 43.
Equip Haru with a "breeze ring" for wind
Equip Ryuji with a "karma rinng" for psio
Equip Morgana with a "karma" for psio
Red rider can be electrocuted to get the karma ring.
Also hell biker can be electrocuted for armor that has "210" defense (equipped only for the male characters)
Jokers persona skills needed: Lower defense for all foes, lower attack for all foes, raise attack for all allies, raise defense for all allies, and lower attack for "one" foe.
In my opinion, only raise your defense if you think the next turn will automatically kill your character since there are four robots each round.
When you get to the third/fourth wave, the key is to kill the robots on their second turn.
So on their first turn...
1. Use "concentrate" on Joker.
2. With your next ally, Hit one robot with a weakness then baton pass back to joker to "lower all foes attack"
2. Hit a second robot with a weakness then pass to joker again to "lower all defense"
3. Hit a third robot with a weakness then pass to joker a third time to raise attack for all allies.
4. By then a full turn has passed and the robots have probably attacked or is planning to self destruct. Use this next full turn to maximize your baton pass for ultimate damage. (Remember Joker must be the final attacker in the concentration/baton pass)
When you get to the giant black robot.
1. Have Haru use tetrakarn on each turn
on a different ally.
2. Have joker lower its attack. Especially after it uses "big bang" since it might do it consecutively.
3. Have morgana be your healer/attacker
4. Have ryuiji only attack and/or use support items to raise sp
Nice strategy. It seems that actually raising the difficulty can help because you do more damage per crit, but I guess you've shown us another viable strat with a different party comp. Nice job :)

Fuck's sake, I can't even get to fighting Okumura. I'm guessing this fleeing shit is new to P5R because I don't remember having this much trouble at all on the original game. I've leveled up to 45 by grinding in mementos, gotten the recommended persona, go in with a good party, and I STILL can't beat those giant robots. I hate everything.
Ramp it up to Merciless when you get your Personas right/levels up to where you're comfortable. On Merciless, you can pretty much take out each wave in one or two attacks if you use the right weakness. Green robots are still tough, but you can manage with the higher crit damage.
Going to try your strategy. Didn't know you could shock enemies even if they resist it. Kept using elec break with Ryuji to negate that so I could shock them even though he has shock boost.
Ye, you should be able to shock so long as they don't block it outright.
@@FirstPlace97 Tried this fight 10 times now and went from Normal to Easy, 7 Normal and 3 on easy, and still can't. I really don't want to go to Safe Mode having got through P5 Original on Easy my first time and Normal my second time. I started P5 Original on Normal, but switched to Easy after I got stuck on the sort of Church Section at Kamoshida's Palace due to under-leveled Persona's. But I have Ryuji's max confidant Persona and a Level 45 Persona that was Alarm Fused with Mapsio and I'm level 42. Also have Persona's Level 35-40 with Mighty Gaze and Bless Boost ones with Blessed Bloodline. Yet the Green Ones won't go down and flee with one remaining as he gets a Defense Bonus and using Ryuji to lower it wastes a turn that would let me finish it.
@@SharkBait19904 I understand. Try to get the RNG with one green getting the sacrifice order. Sometimes it will come on the second turn of the second wave, and very rarely on the first wave. If you can manage to take one of those guys down via the kamikaze, you should be able to get the last 3. Maybe try to focus on the one with the extra health and get an extra turn before they flee so that you can kill them all at once with the weakness effect. Lowering to easy doesn't seem to affect damage output, sadly.
@@FirstPlace97 Easy and Normal do 1x damage to enemies and Safe Mode does 2x damage to enemies. Easy enemies just do .5 you compared to 1x damage, so Normal damage to you would be 20 compared to around 10 on easy, yet you do the same damage to enemies on Easy as you would on Normal. Yet for me the Kamikaze gets the defense bonus turn one and explodes turn after my turn is up. And then another gets it and I kill the other two, but it flees.
@@SharkBait19904 Oh, my bad. Well, I think for me, I got one to explode, and I think it was the one that got the defense buff, so sometimes you have to get a little lucky. It seems that if you get them to very low health, they will run and you will have wasted SP. Maybe try to focus just on the one with rakukaja and see if they don't flee after your turn is up.
everytime i somewhat close to beating this, i run out of time because i swear okumura takes 10 years to summon his robots and all the stat debuffs. i had issues with this on p5 because i was under leveled, but it was still a lot easier than this bs lmao

Finally beat it after 5 tries . Merciless mode make sure you have ann and her dekaja and matarunda. Have her spam it 2 outa the turns. Luckily i i had byako the tiger and he absorbs phys. Have yusuke attack and makota attack just make sure when the big bang comes up to decrease his hit evasions accuracy and att. Hope yall pass this

You have to get them before they run. Use damage to all and try to kill all at same time.

Well, I don't like all the pressing of X sometimes, but after just beating the 6th palace, I'm really having a change of heart (no pun intended) about the game. I really like the story and the music is amazing. The combat is really good too, but I feel like it's few and far between. After you rank up your confidants and get max stats, I'm not sure what to do in the real world anymore. But it is a really solid game overall. I can see why it got the scores it got.
I will do a review video once I get the plat and finish the 3rd semester.

Dude, this boss fight is so annoying, i got a showtime that looked like it would kill the bot, but instead it had a pixel of life left and it immediately burgered me lmao
I feel you. It has the most RNG of any boss in the game. Just need to practice and come well-prepared, and have a bit of luck haha.

Probably one of my least favorite parts of the game, but that's saying a lot considering that it's mainly an RNG thing lol

I do mond you I'm lvl 55 with all dlc personas at lvl 90 and I get one shoted as they only attack joker and I do use buffs and de buffs
(speed, atk, def for allies)
Edit: I'm starting a new game not ngp+ and new game where I just have arsene
I was up till 2:00 in the morning trying to beat it so I give up on it I only got 7 days left until I fail snd get arrested so there's no point
