    We have the same hotplate, why does mine take time to reach certain tempt, it really takes a long time to heat?

      A lot of hot plates are inconsistent. I'm not sure. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Are hot plate and mechanical stirrer same ?

      Many of the units have both functions like this one.

    I'm curious if it's possible to cook food on these. Like put a small pan on it with water and boil it and make ramen or mac & cheese.

      It would be possible, but most of these things are finicky. I see a lot of burnt food in your future.

      @@ChemistryinaNutshell Not much control on the heat is there? Maybe not for things that need only a little heat but to boil water.

      @@Azula524 I've seen and used these in school and was curious if they can be used for cooking and boiling water. I'm guessing yes because they are hot plates.
