I'll try to answer your questions and give some context.
Egotistic is the 2nd title track in MMM's four album project called 4 Season 4 Color. There are a number of interlocking concepts and symbolism related to seasons, colors and relationships and everything is cyclical. 4 Season 4 Color is an unprecedented project by a girl group and is the one of the most complex, ambitious projects by any group. For now let's just say Egotistic is the Summer/Red title track and Red is the color of Passion in the 4S4C color scheme, hence the red-hot latin mamas expressing their own takes on Red & Passion as they tell the egotistic lover to take a hike. Correct, that was a reggae vibe - the song is based on reggaeton beat. Wheein has several tattoos but the ones you see in the MV are temporary as part of her character in the MV: a hot-tempered badass bitch on wheels who burns his guitar in effigy and dances in the flames.
Hip is a combo of a diss track mocking their haters with a message song that encourages people to be true to themselves despite any criticism they might get for being out of the norm. MMM redefines Hip as doing your own thing rather than the usual meaning of cool or trendy. The 12 alt universe lives depict the members as women who are unusual in one way or another, all of whom are Hip as MMM defines it and deserving of respect rather than criticism. MMM is probably kpop's biggest shit magnet because they don't play by kpop's rules of behavior for female idols regarding beauty, fashion, gender or sexuality. The lyrics (co-written by Hwasa) refer to controversies triggered by some of their stage outfits and Hwasa's choices of what to wear (or not wear) when going to the airport. Yes, that was a kiss my ass gesture by Hwasa. lol
As you know by now, Dingga was meant to cheer us up during the pandemic. The scenes with the extra camera shots are video calls the members make while socially distant.
Yes, that's a flute in Aya. Solar said the unibrow was a nod to Frida Kahlo. As with almost all Mamamoo MVs there's more going on than the visuals that grab your attention on first view. This comment is getting long so I won't give you a detailed interpretation of Aya's Arabian Nights concept but basically each member has her own way of eliminating her lingering feelings for the departed lover. Solar's wild imagination combined Frida with an Asian ghost to come up with a character who ritualistically exorcizes her feelings by impaling the bowl of her tears with a dagger.
Fwiw, I read all the comments up until I started typing and imo there's quite a few mistakes and sorta but not quite accurate info so I recommend that you take our comments with a grain of salt (including mine) and make up your own mind as you rewatch the MVs and learn more about MMM. Have fun getting to know one of the most fascinating and talented groups in kpop or anywhere else!
I'm not too into girl groups, but Mamamoo is something different, love them. Hwasa is hot af, Moon can RAP, Solar and Weein are stunning. That's why they are THE QUEENS.

The rabbit hole for Mamamoo is wide and very deep. Warning! You will fall deeper in love with them and may even become an addict of theirs like the rest of us, lol. Dingga was a track released to bring fun and happy vibes while the pandemic is bringing everyone down! So you’ll see references to reminiscing hanging out a friends “drinking like a fish” and going out to get ice cream in times like now where we can’t do it freely. There was also a scene of them wearing masks!
Hip came out after hwasa was caught in a whirlwind of criticisms and backlash from her dressing at the airports. So it’s abit of a diss track to haters, them saying wtv they wear is a fashion icon (so them being hip as in hipster & trendy)! Hwasa’s known for embracing her more curvy body and pushing the boundaries to the ‘acceptable conservative’ dressing expected of idols. But there’s also a play of words on hip - as in the body part hip! That’s why the chorus goes “head shoulders hip” or smth like that :)
The universes r the different outfits featured in the mv, it’s mamamoo’s belief in their friendship :) that even if they didn’t meet thru being an idol group tgt they’d still have known each other thru different walks of life cause fate!!

The concept for the Hip video was, "What would Mamamoo be if they weren't Mamamoo?" Three different universes, three different concepts for each one. Solar was a boxer, a rock star, and an alien princess. Moonbyul was a record producer, dance instructor, and a movie director. Wheein was a protester, a hippy, and a bohemian. Hwasa was a mom, a president, and I didn't get the third thing, but some kind of musician. The kid was really cute and they gave her a mole just like Hwasa's, which was funny.

But you also need to check out their personalities cause OMG: solar is the biggest crackhead and never runs out of energy, wheein is the cutest puppy and so funny, moon is the biggest troll and loves teasing her members and hwasa is the most adorable baby and so soft for her members especially wheein 🥺 their personalities are what sold it for me from being a casual listener to a moo moo

Yessss Mamamoo! I was waiting for you to get to them!! By far the best vocal girl group out here! I reccomend watching Introducing Mamamoo by Purple Hawke if you want to dive deeper into the individual girls. I also recommend watching their live stuff like Immortal Songs Medley and Queendom performances after you watch more MVs. They are absolutely amazing and I'm so glad you've reacted to them!!

Dude listen to Where Are We Now it's a ballad but it showcased their powerful vocals and how great they are as singers, being able to translate their emotions into song so well you could end up crying even without knowing the meaning of the song or reading the subtitles

New subscriber here. All I can say is, this is the best thing I've watched all day. I need you to do more Mamamoo! Where Are We Now, Starry Night, Wanna Be Myself, Gogobebe and so much more! They all have solos, and Introduction guides to their unique personalities, and you should check out their live performance of Aya and Dingga at the 2020 Mama awards. It was so freaking amazing! I also really love your love for all of my girls and how you had something sweet to say about each of them. Hwasa is my bias with Wheein, her bestie, being my bias wrecker. Also, they definitely are a women's group and very mature, and I'm so glad you picked up on that. They really are leaders paving the way in their industry, and have been together since 2014. What you need to know is that they have unmatchable vocals and are regarded as a strong vocal group. You need to hear them sing live to really get it.

I love watching people attempt to dip a toe into the girl group side of Kpop with mamamoo and end up being DRAGGED IN BY THEIR HAIR ITS GREAT
You were right on the empowerment, as that is a big theme with much of their music, especially title tracks. Their b-sides tend to be a lot more varied thematically, but you'll often catch hints of empowerment there, too
Mamamoo is considered to be at the forefront of south korea's still-burgeoning feminsim movement since they basically rebel against everything expected of women, esp female celebrities, just by being themselves.
So many of their songs are dedicated to female empowerment, self empowerment or both. Of the four you watched here, only "dingga" didn't have that theme, being more uplifting and kimd of preaching patience with the pandemic thing
"Egotistic" and "aya" are both about leaving a relationship that's gone sour in different ways, reminding people (esp women, esp asian) that they can indeed think amd act for themselves and do what's best for them. (You'll see this in several other songs, too. Esp the solo debut songs of members wheein and hwasa, "easy" and "twit" which are basically two sides of the same coin).
"Hip" is both an empowering song, telling people that as long as you stay true to yourself and enjoy what you're doing you're hip, no matter what others may say, while also being a diss track to tabloid media and those that go out of their way to try to bring others down, using an example that happened to hwasa previously, a 'controversy' about two outfits that really had nothing wrong with them.

The thing you were not sure about if it's a digital effect or not - it's an actual make up she wore - 'pretend unibrow'. And also it does look beautiful despite it being considered ugly in society. It's so powerful how she wears it and Mamamoo in general builds up confidents in me and maybe hopefylly other women, showing us that 'women exist in many different forms and can be powerful and artistic, despite not fitting society’s standards of beauty'. This is the most feminist thing I saw in kpop (haven't seen much but still) and I am very thankful for that.

Wheein (our Vocalist, and Performer) she has Insane Vocals as well they are very soothing and smooth as Honey, and yes those are her real Tattoos (I am pretty sure almost every Member has tattoos) she is also Amazing at Art and Photography and if she didn't become an Idol she would have been an Artist and or a Photographer, also she is the Genius in Mamamoo she can literally do anything! And Hwasa is (our Vocalist, Rapper, and Maknae of the Group) she is Insane and everyone can't believe that she is the Maknae of the Group because of how much she goes off, as you can tell she has really Jazzy Vocals and she can spit fire if she wanted to even though she doesn't do it as much she is also Nicknamed the Queen of Queens because of she does not care what people think of her (you'll see what I mean when you check out the Guide!)
