Billy. Let me suggest: clump all the poles together, and tie them in maybe 4 places The tighter you pack them in the clump, the straighter they'll be. If you have just one, and you need to get the curve out, dry it in a piece of 3/4 pipe. Metal works best, but pvc works well also In the Philippines, they bend bamboo in all kinds of shapes by steaming the pieces. They steam the pieces, bend them till cool.
Appreciate the suggestion. drying it in a piece of pipe is a really good idea I will be trying that. Yeah the eastern world bad bamboo on lock they love the stuff

Love the simplicity of cane pole fishing, looking forward to the next video!
Yeah it’s really fun working on some poles. I’ll be uploading the next video in a week or so! And it’s the straightening video!
Nice to see the whole process step by step, Willy. Very interesting to learn how to do it. I'll stay tuned. Congrats!
Thanks for watching! 2 more videos and that should cover all I know!
Iv been looking for a video like this thank you
I have 2 more coming! Working on the straightening video right now
Dude that Dremel makes quick work of the sanding. Sure beats doing it by hand. Those heat treated poles look killer.
Yeah the dremel sure is handy. This new bamboo I cut the branches are pretty darn tough. The River Cane branches pull off easily though.

Machete works too! Haha save some time that way for sure! Yeah it’s fun to make the poles but even funnier to fish with them!
Cool video
Thanks Bob!
How do you clean-cut the bamboo poles into smaller poles? I used a jig saw and it leaves a message cut, not clean at all. Thanks.
I use a tiny hand saw that leaves a pretty clean cut. I also smooth areas out with my dremel tool
Will is out here!
Haha we out here! Dropping the next video real soon! Thanks for checking it out Gary appreciate you commenting and watching the channel
