Thank you Hope for showcasing the differences between the two nail repair treatments. I would love to see a more detailed explanation about the different viscosities and colors, Medium viscosity and high viscosity, colors Opal, Clear and Pink. Both viscosities and combination of colors allow you to create a nail with a more natural appearance.

Hi dear... I have allergies with acrylics, I had been done with acrylics and I had a really bad reaction loosing 70% of my toenail, my question is if this products you're using are safe?

Hello and thank you for this really informative vidéo. I was wondering if you remove all your reconstruction each time or if sometimes you juste do a filler ?
At the follow up appointment at 6 weeks, I'll typically fill if everything looks good. Then 6 weeks after that, I remove completely and do a new reconstruction.

I am based in Portugal. and only Gehwol is easily accesible for me. Do you think Gehwol Nail repair gel works just as good as LCN Barefoot? Also what is the Gehwol Gel viscosity you used here high or medium?
Yes they are both excellent. I used the medium viscosity only, but the brand recommends using high for your first layer and then medium on top to smooth.

Does the gel separate from the skin after its cured ?
Yes it can be applied to the skin, but will only stay attached to the existing nail plates longer term. This is why it's imperative to use an anti-fungal and anti-bacterial product daily at home with a toenail enhancement.
Are there any places in Northern Virginia where they do this type of nail reconstruction?

I don’t have these products and thought press ones would work but what kind of glue would keep them on
I would only recommend pressons in a pinch for a one night event or something like that. The material is not appropriate for the toenails and they're a one size fits all/one size fits no one. In this kind of one off event, I'd recommend wig tape to adhere them which is skin safe and will be easier to remove.
So how did you like the Gehwol application compared to the LCN? The tube seems easier to manage the flow of the gel..
I definitely find the Gehwol easier and a bit faster for me to apply!
Are these toenails flexible so when I stub my toe it doesn’t damage the matrix further or are they stiff like acrylic

Where can I buy your foot efile and is it lightweight
Mine isn't being made anymore, but check out Rotatool for a similar model. If you're looking for lightweight, though, I'd go with a portable e-file without a vacuum attachment.
Which one did you like better ?
So far I like them both! I've worked with the LCN product more, so I'm more familiar with it. But I really liked how easy it is to work with the Gehwol product right out of the tube! I haven't seen much of a difference in how they wear on clients, but will report back if I do.

How long does it last?
Each client and situation is different, but ideally it will last the full 4-6 weeks before the following appointment. At that time, I'll usually fill any grow out and restructure the shape, as necessary 🙂

Well, If we are talking about cosmetic treatment, yes it looks good, but it's not a solution for nail fungus that has to be treated. This technique hiding (masking) the problem. Underneath this gel, the nail will never recover and destroyed even more.
This is true and exactly why I never apply a gel enhancement to an actively infected nail. These nails are damaged, but otherwise free of infection as diagnosed by a doctor.
@@HealthtoBeautyNails Nail that is free of infection, it's a healthy nail. If nail is deformed and discolored, it means it's not healthy. Doctors are taking samples and checking them for 3-4 types of fungal infections, meanwhile it's about 80 types of nail fungus exist. This nail enhancement is the best for only emergrncy cases, if someone broke the toenail and have a special event.
@@svetlanaarkhipova7456 you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Nail discoloration doesn't always mean fungal infection. Previous trauma to the nails can cause permanent discoloration and thickness. Also, people with darker skin will grow darker colored nails as they get older.
@VipesVonHarlot Yes, I definitely know what I am talking about as it's my specialty. I am providing the medical grade pedicures for 10 years and warking with insurance companies, so they recognized me. You are right about facts that people with darker colored skin can has darker colored nails or sometimes with darker lines, it is normal not exactly older age. Also, trauma to the nails are could be a cause of fungal infection that make nail discolored and thicker. This is what I am dealing with every day and I am helping my clients to heal their traumitized nails and turned them back to normal.
