She (accountant) might be off on numbers a bit but with 32 crews (plus 4 gutter crews) at 7-8 guys (~250 total?) making 160 (before payroll tax)......those guys are getting terrible pay. But I'm sure she's just incorrect because I can't see roofers taking home ~$600/week before taxes. They'd had crazy high turnover. Company spirit and teamwork seem very high!

This company stresses me out… IMO They spend way too much money on frivolous things.. Enterprise rent a cars? Raptor trucks for salesman? (Minivan>Raptor)
When I first started out I did very similar things and the the recession of 08’ happened. I learned a hard lesson quickly.
I wish them well, and he and his employees look like top shelf ppl. I’m just worried that a small downturn in the economy he could be in a bad spot.
Best of luck and great video.

This sounds illegal. If this is a legal process then why doesn't New York have the right to give legal work permits.

It's called a work visa. Thousands of companies around the US do it and I have over 100 colleges who got their legal status from a company that hired them. It's not cheap at all and that's why most companies don't do it.

@@hotshotnewengland The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) makes it illegal for employers to knowingly hire or continue to employ undocumented workers.

@hotshotnewengland The people you are referring to are not considered illegal or undocumented workers. They came in a port of entry and are in the process of becoming citizens or obtaining a green card. That is a big difference from what the lady was saying. That is why she had to have legal representation. Those who you are speaking of are going through the Immigration process and are being pushed to the back of the line.

@wellingtonboschworth2543 They never said they hire illegal. The process is to hire an illegal by offering them the position from the legal system. If they hire the person before applying for through the legal system their application is automatically denied. I have done this for 2 employees so I know what I'm talking about. You have to offer the position first on a public forum, wait 2 months, prove that it was offered to the public in the US first........it's a whole process not just go around hiring any illegal walking around lol.

Giving them a place to live and a path to legal citizenship by the way of work visas doesn’t sound like they’re taking advantage.
