I had 2 and a half minutes of totality and it was breathtaking. I cried tears of joy at the beauty of it. It was surreal. All I could think of was Carl Sagan's quote on the pale blue dot.
I watched it from my own house in Conway. Had a much better view, no crowds and no traffic. Neat when the street lights and our solar lights came on when it reached full totality.
Nicely done! Although, I believe only the King of Kings and Lord of Lords - our Lord and Savior - Yeshua, can be given the credit for His creation. My family and I traveled to some WMA in our area, because we thought the town locations would be overloaded with people. You are correct about taking it all in and not being too worried about the picture and video taking. I took some video and a time-lapse. My wife took pictures, but neither pictures nor video did much justice to this magical event.

I didn't see it this time, but I did see it in 2017 and thought of Carl Sagan's pale blue dot quote. It is indeed a surreal, breathtaking experience.
