NATURE TOUCH, the farm
Warmly welcomes you for a farm stay at our spacious and eco friendly mud house. Our self sustained farm is your perfect agro-tourism destination to shake hands with nature.
Location
Khanivali village, taluka Bhiwandi, district Thane, Mumbai-Nashik highway, 39 kms from Thane, and 77 kms from Mumbai.
About the farm
Nature touch is 7 acre land filled with Mango, Cashew, Jambhul and Bamboo plantations, along with seasonal crops and over 50 different species of flora.
The monsoon adorns it lush green with a soothing atmosphere. You can enjoy an idyllic view of paddy fields, mini waterfalls, streams, canal, etc while going on a forest trail nearby.
Self sustainability
The farm is compounded by a laterite stone wall. The Vishnu mud house is entirely built solely from natural elements like mud, stone, wood and steel, mainly CSEB (Compressed Stabilised Earth Blocks). Solar energy is harnessed for electricity, solar water heaters have been installed, and water is obtained from a bore well, and a traditional well, made of stone wall.
Accomodation
'The Vishnu Mud house', provides you with 3 master bedrooms and a common bathroom, front and backyard, and a open courtyard. The dining hall, has a section enclosed with arches, that has transparent glass roof tiles ceiling, letting the sunlight and moonlight seep through, where you can enjoy the rain while being indoors. It has a traditional mud floor swabbed with cowdung and the roof of clay tiles.
The house is also well lit with hanging cane lamps. It has urban bathrooms for ease of use, yet the uniqueness is maintained with stone flooring and ancient bath buckets called 'ghangaals' made out of copper.
The house has a spacious kitchen, along with a shed structure of a traditional 'chool-ghar', in the backyard. It has 'chool' and sitting arrangements.
We can comfortably accomodate upto 15 people, and can avail upto 18 people with other 3 beddings of traditional hand woven 'khaat' made out of wood and natural fibre ropes.
T.V. and AC isn't available, for the sake of forgetting everyday's dull life. Yet, free WiFi is available in the house.
Food
You can relish upon fresh, local and traditional meals, prepared by the local cooks. Enjoy barbeques in the 'chool ghar', and even devour it there in the outdoor. You can have the hot 'rice bhakaris' cooked on 'chool', and explore many such rural tastes.
