@@calabaza1702 it's your risk to reward ratio. If you risk a dollar but make 3.00, then its 3:1. If you enter into a trade at 2.00 and set your stop loss to 1.50 and your target is 3.00 then your risking .50 a share and looking to gain a dollar, so 2:1. Your total exposure would be .50 × amount of shares. So if you bought 1000 shares, your risk would be 500.00 and your target would be 1000.00 at 2:1 or 1500 at 3:1 etc. At least from what I understand anyways. Hope this helps.

Jared, I am just getting into day trading, and have watched 20+ of your videos. I have been taking 3-4 trades per day risking $5-10 max with a portfolio of $2000. ($8000 in blue chips currently). In the past 4 trading days I have accumulated a profit of $212! 10.5%! I know I am new and I most definitely will take it slowly, but you have added tremendous value to my trading and I really appreciate it. From you, and experience, I have come to learn that the patterns themselves are easy, but the management isn't always. Honestly one of the biggest things I have taught myself is to trust in the process and the patterns. If I make sure 5,6,7,8 things line up, the odds are in my favor and if I lose, well, that's just 1R! Thanks again.

Wow.. top 5 trading video I've EVER watched. Market commentary, the abstraction of timeframes, technical look at supports AND calling for perspective in what was (in retrospect) about the worst of it (thus far)...Well done & Thanks!! TC2000 has 3 day bars, including them helps perspective & insight. And great job pointing out the fallacies in a lot of the mantras.so true. so easy to look at a chart, but knowing my own tendencies, I've broken huge uptrends into a few smaller, fragmented tradable ranges, and that's the reality we have to work through.

This is a plug for Jared and Anmol... Live Traders, and what they're all about. I am going to copy and paste this comment to every video I watch henceforth.

In trying to educate myself over the years to be a trader I have literally spent thousands, and thousands, AND THOUSANDS of dollars, and put in hundreds, upon hundreds, UPON HUNDREDS of hours of study.

I have read countless books, watched countless videos, attended countless webinars, and learned countless principles. I’ve bought and tried different services like IBD, Motley Fool, Seeking Alpha, and have been a member of different trading rooms that I won’t mention by name… all with less than helpful outcomes, and some with DISASTROUS outcomes!

But the major problem, I would say, is that so far what I have learned THAT HAS BEEN helpful or valuable I have had to piece together from multiple sources. It's been a jigsaw puzzle to be sure, and I'm still not done.

Live Traders... this channel... these guys... they're covering it all (and more)! There is no doubt in my mind, NO DOUBT, that this is the best teaching I have had yet, by a HUGE margin! THE BEST! The reason? It's extremely comprehensive, and I mean EXTREMELY!

My background: mid 50's entrepreneur who's been married to the same amazing woman for 26 years. We have three beautiful daughters and live in a small town in central Alberta, Canada. We have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars and have a net worth approaching $2.2M. But here's the thing; being in the service industry for as long as we have (we have owned and operated a popular fast food franchise for the last 16 years) is VERY hard and takes a lot out of us.

As such we have been on a search for ways to be able to finally retire from it and enjoy life; traveling with friends, camping, fishing, hiking, skiing... whatever it is we want to do! In order to do that we need to be able to supplement our income, b/c we have no pension (unlike those of you who have have been working for your paycheck and - hopefully - DO have a pension); what we have is what we've saved, so we need to keep money coming in. Our plan has long been to learn trading and get very good at it.

This is the road that has led me here... to Live Traders. I have watched enough vid's now to know I am home. I have a lot more to learn, but I am extremely confident that with their mentorship I am gonna finally finish this puzzle. I am also a member of their chatroom (just joined) and have seen some REALLY good trades called out and even taken one under their watchful eye. Finally, I will be taking the Professional Trading Strategies (PTS) course, after which I'll start trading in the room more, but even then it'll be with a $10 risk to start; the goal is to learn, learn, learn with VERY little risk… the money will follow in time.

It’s taken me 2 hours to write this review/comment, but I wanted to make sure I did it right and communicated effectively!

Thank you Jared and Anmol! THANKYOU!

We haven't seen quite this before. In 2008-9 whole industries weren't shut down completely. The market will survive, but I think we will see changes in the psychology of investing.

Great video as always Jared. Love the no nonsence approach on the one hand, and the depth of the technical breakdown on the other. Keep 'em coming Jared. Appreciate the amount of time you take doing these and the fact that you are such a generous person, that you share your passion with others in this way. God bless you and yours, and thanks again Jared.

Thanks again for this lecture. I just finished watching it again and look forward to applying this pivot reinforcement to my management tomorrow. I'm doing pretty well with my management... just need to get a bit better on picking my entries! (Have to stick to the checklist!)

I understood the fact that candlesticks and other chart properties tell a different story on different time intervals, but for whatever reason it never occurred to me to compare those different charts in order to make a better decision.

Jared, when moving stops do you ever decide to just go with a trailing stop? Let's say you are up a nice bit, already moved the stop twice, perhaps on the next one you just go with a trailing stop?
Learned so much from this video, I don't look at these tailing bars the same way.

It's different on every platform. YES, there are similarities but each platform has it's own order entry.

Use a paper trading account. And practice practice practice. So what if you make a mistake. You wont loose money while learning.

Man I made so much money this last year, but I know it was pretty much just sheer luck. I saw the opportunity after the huge drop in March 2020 and bought a bunch of tech stocks. Wish I could do that all the time!!

Man as a beginner trader the way I see it, if I could make it through a period like this it only means that when the market gets back on an upswing I will be a lot more seasoned. Kinda sucks as a long biased momentum trader, but honestly, it's pretty cool watching history being made.
