It's all good - you didn't know, and you weren't ready or expecting it. The fact that you like this particular song so much, and it came out almost a year and a half ago, and you're only just now hearing it, should motivate you to keep searching for more good music that you normally wouldn't listen to or even be exposed to that you might like. The thing I like about the live performance version is they put each girl's name on screen as they were singing, so it would help you to learn their names.

Don't sweat not knowing the girls. We just be messing with new people. I'm as old school hip hop/R&B as it gets. I love these girls. It sounds old but new at the same time. I'm not really into the k pop sound but these these young ladies are different. So I was instantly drawn to then. They have that soul in them that I've been missing from today's music.
I ride with XG. Can't wait for more people on the West to discover them.

If you get a chance, check out their Winter Without You MV and also their First Take live version. I promise you will NOT be disappointed! The song was released just before X-mas last year, but truly shows this group's growth and versatility, imho. Plus, it's got that real silky smooth rnb vibe that you just don't hear anymore. Even tho it's a X-mas song, it mos def became an all-year VIBE for me and for most of the other ALPHAZ (XG's fandom) as well!! 🐺

I think the girl whose voice you really liked is Juria. She's the one who sings "the only direction I know" in this video, and in Woke Up she was the one all in gold rapping about "y'all just built on superstitions". I believe she was 17 here, but she may have still been 16. They're all just crazy talented beyond their years.

I appreciate you doing the live performance too, I love the MV but the live performance is underrated and not many reaction videos to it. However, it's perfect for people who are new to the group because it shows the name of whoever is performing so you can get familiar with the members by putting the name to their face and know who is doing what part.
