Old 8mm cine film from the 1950's of West Kirby in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral in Merseyside, England, a mix of Black & White and Colour film with shots of the promenade, beach, a stormy sea and a large outdoor gathering that could be to do with the Methodist Church as it shows the church in Westbourne road towards the end.

Brilliant clip I know west kirby very well I live in Wirral have done all my life I go to west kirby a lot still great to go there. That road was westbourne road was there today hasn’t changed much. If you haven’t done one of new Brighton that was another busy place years ago loads of old footage of there to.

Makes me weep when I see old film of Britain and what it is today. Looking at that film, the first thing that would happen with the tide coming and the car driving in the water these days is armed police would have immobilised the driver, the council would close down the town and if I lived in a country that had free speech I'd continue. But I don't.
