I find that, when 会 is used as an auxiliary for the future tense ("will"), then 的 is often added to the end of the sentence. For example :
我会做饭的 = "I will do the cooking"
But I think that 我会做饭 could also mean "I know how to cook".

北京 běi jǐng = north capital
北京 Běijīng = Beijing
It may help learners to start the pinyin with an upper-case letter for names of places and people. This is what we are used to. Otherwise, it can sometimes be quite confusing :
西班牙 xī bān yá = west class tooth 🙂
西班牙 Xībānyá = Spain
