For those thinking of a Freudian slip with her admitting to straying by saying "Never Again", her comment was in reference to him doubting her: She said she would never stray, "it was out of the question and he mustn't think otherwise"... "Never Again"
What get me with these stories is the fact that it doesn't matter whether the cheating spouse slept with the entire football team or a pack of dingos, husband will sleep with their cheating spouse at the drop of a hat just like this OP . Being human really is I suppose just that. Reminds me of a song lyrics "are we human or are we denser?"
There is no forgiveness for cheating, cheating is a physical and emotional action orchestrated by two people with plenty of opportunities for saying no.
