    Very much appreciate the shorter, non-stream, videos. I watch for general education, and can't afford multiple hour commitments.

      It's the way to go honestly. I don't think ill be doing much more streams in the future.

    Hello thank you for the detailed video, it's very helpful.
    I have a 2017 a1708, all of the caps are showing 94.0 Ohms on both sides of the board. Should I test the caps a similar way using alcohol?

    A1708 with black screen. 0v on the backlight capacitors. Confirmed there is no short. What could be the issue mate ?

    Hi Tim can I ask a question please, from this video you said you are injecting 10volts into the backlight caps to see what heats up on the board but I'm very curious of how many Amps should be set on your DC power supply please?

      I set mine at 5 amps and almost never change it.

    Hello, a repairshop attempted to fix the flexgate issue on my mac but he failed, with soldering and even shorted PVOUT, ground and LED_RETURN. Would there be a board issue now?

    • @TCRSCircuit
      @TCRSCircuit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to say without seeing it. Probably not.

    PVOUT, ground and all LED_RETURNS got shorted together, laptop works and stuff but is anything damaged?

    Great video ! Newbie question here, how should I go about finding the right capacitor to replace on my A1398 mid-2015 logic board (one cap is cracked and burnt) if I don't have a donor board at hand ?

    • @TCRSCircuit
      @TCRSCircuit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pull up the cap on the schematic to find it's values and head over to digikey.com or mouser.com.
