My Dad was in Judo and when your Dad took a vacation with Auntie in our hometown my Dad got so interested in Karate, they started quick training with the little time they got. I still remember the kata hand exercises your Dad taught. I kept doing them when I was a teenager, on my bed before I go to sleep and after I wake up. They also made a "makiwara" (I don't know if I get it right. a fist punch tied on a tree).
