    Hey everyone! Before you say the expected "I thought this was Let's Talk Thunder and he is on the Bulls."
    This was a project I had been working on since the spring and for whatever reason was mostly finished, but never released until now. I still think there is some really interesting stuff here in the details of Josh as an inbounder, my next video will be back to OKC focused. I hope you enjoy this one!

    great to see some positive Giddey content. After the completely undeserved bs he went thru off court it's nice to see the focus back on his baskteball

      @@Randomytname1 yes undeserved. Besides being a little naive, he didn't do anything wrong.

    As a huge Giddey fan, I appreciate the positive angle and the effort you put into highlighting his special skillset. I could watch these plays all day. The material was put together really well and was quite entertaining. I will check out your other videos.

    Producing a video discussing a player who no longer plays for OKC was both completely unnecessary and amazingly appropriate of an OKC fanatic. This was very well produced, and no doubt took a great deal of effort. If ever there was an advertisement for the good-nature of a NBA teams organisation and fanbase its videos like this.

    As a Spurs fan, this video was in my recommended and... damn, this is some seriously good content. Insightful commentary on a specific basketball detail, that I wouldn't have otherwise noticed. Great editing, references, etc. I also really appreciate the timestamps/chapters. Thunder fans are lucky to have you making quality content like this. Keep this up and you should easily gain more subscribers (can't believe you have less than 1k). If you also made videos about other teams, on occasion, I'm sure you'd grow even faster! Either way, I wish you the best of luck and will be watching every upload from here on out :)

      I’m glad you enjoyed the video! It’s a chore on a lot of the details, but I really enjoy giving people the best videos I can make.
      And fingers crossed we hit that 1k milestone in the near future 🤞

    Very nice analysis. My basketball knowledge isn’t so deep so I couldn’t identify what it was but I saw Giddey had a knack for identifying plays and moving the ball efficiently. The fact that he’s so young with such a toolkit, I’m really looking forward to seeing how he develops a player. Tighten up his defense and shoot like he did in the Olympics and I think we really could see an all star

    • @letstalkthunder
      @letstalkthunder  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      He absolutely has that SPECIAL passing gene that not many players have.
      I’m looking forward to seeing him in a different context with the Bulls. He definitely has room to grow and develop, but I think he’s just a winning basketball player.

    I loved Josh(as my Giddey Jersey & 2 tshirts could attest to). His SLOB Wizardry was as dominant as MJs Dunks, Stephs' 3pt shot, SGAs Mid-Range mastery or Reggies' Game Winners. When watching Carusos' old games in the summer I noticed that the Bulls relied on Caruso to be their SLOB passer. He was pretty good at it. He's obviously not Giddey-like but good. I think its his job 1st 6 weeks & if he struggles theyll give IHart a chance when he returns.IHarts' height to see over guys & passing acumen seems like a great fit

    • @letstalkthunder

      For now I am going to guess it will be Caruso, but I don't think were will see as many inbound specific subs that we saw before with Mark since Josh isn't on the team.

    I will certainly miss these inbound plays! Strange to say with such a young team but it feels like Presti realised our window could be now and Giddey needs another couple of seasons - would've been a great weapon to keep if we could've had him coming off the bench

    • @letstalkthunder
      @letstalkthunder  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it was a mutual parting. The Thunder approached him about coming off the bench. Josh asked if they could explore the trade market for him with his new extension coming up.
      The Thunder get a great player in Caruso and Giddey gets a fresh start on a new team where he will be able to play on the ball more where he is at his best.

    OKC trading Giddey for Caruso was an absolutely idiotic decision and they will massively regret it. Why they would decide to trade away a 21 year old rising star who was a key part of that incredible season is just beyond me. You don't EVER mess with that kind of success and now they have changed the chemistry of what that team was all about. They didn't need Caruso anyway because they have tons of shooting guards already and Wiggins is better than him anyway. Giddey is going to go off in Chicago.

    • @henry7486
      @henry7486 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wouldn’t call it an awful trade for them, and maybe I’m biased because I’m Australian but when the trade happened - the public reception of it did piss me off. Giddey for Caruso, in terms of just sheer talent is an absolute steal for Chicago. However, I can still see why OKC did the trade because due to the 2nd apron, they really probably don’t have many more years with this core so they just wanted to go all-in and acquire more shooting and defence.

    • @joeldriver-sp2rg
      @joeldriver-sp2rg หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@henry7486 Caruso doesn't even average 7 pts. per game for his career so this idea that his shooting is somehow going to matter is ludicrous. Giddey is literally more than twice the offensive player he is and he also has size and can rebound. It's just a massive downgrade in overall talent and they didn't need Caruso because they have tons of shooting guards and Wiggins is better than him anyway. Giddey clearly gave OKC a better chance at winning a championship. They will not be the same team as they were last year without him.

    • @henry7486
      @henry7486 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@joeldriver-sp2rg Caruso is a good offensive player, not great but he isn’t a liability. He can hit an open 3 and is a capable slasher. As much as I love Giddey, he can be a liability at times due to nobody really respecting him from outside so they pack the paint. With Caruso, he isn’t Steph or anything but you have to respect his shot and step out and guard him - providing more space for Shai, JDub and Chet to operate in the paint and mid range.
      Talent isn’t everything, fit does matter too. OKC got better but I do think in terms of ‘value’ and who got the most talented player, Chicago did fleece OKC

    • @joeldriver-sp2rg
      @joeldriver-sp2rg หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@henry7486 Actually, talent IS everything and you don't swap players when there is a massive gap like that, especially when Giddey is only 21 and Caruso is 30. That makes it even more idiotic. They did NOT need Caruso whatsoever. They have tons of shooting guards exactly like him and Wiggins is a better player anyway. The trade makes absolutely zero sense. OKC fans need to realize they might not ever be as good as they were last season. I already saw what happened when they made the finals and then traded Harden. This is the same thing all over again.
