Interesting seeing a review of a budget model of the Skyline R34 GT-R. How rare are they? It's a shame most companies that sell models here, don't really do Japanese cult cars, they'd sell a lot these days with the growing interest. Picked up a 1/24 scale MotorMax Skyline GT-R at a local flea market in Bayside Blue for $10.
Jake Johnson This is true, i have a 1:18 AA R34 in pearl white, a 1:18 ztune in Sonic silver Metalic, and JMC the rarest model of the R34 from motormax is the Midnight purple R34 skyline, it's very limited, it goes from purple to pink to blue depending on which view point, i added felt carpet to mine and detailed it so it would sit well with my other models, i do alot of collecting with japanese models, mostly 1:43 and 1:18, mainly ebbro, kyosho, autoart, aoshima, ixo, Frontiart etc and ignition models! love those...but they are resin..which im not to fond of. Great video though.
Hey I have one too which I purchased from wallmart in 2003 I believe.. But I have the tuner version.. Blue strips, side blue decals, different rims, GTR windsheild decal and a bodykit. It looks identical to yours but just all the mods says "tuner" after GTR in the model section. - Motormax - NO.73902. How come I can't find my version but ive seen more of the ones you have?
Left hand drive R34 GT-R? Hmm, I wonder how accurate that is... :D
I thought you said right and i was going to say that you were wrong LOL
Questionably accurate. There were left hand drive conversions made, and this one was likely modeled after one. It is a bit weird.
@@JMCporsche I like on the autoart version that it’s right hand drive.
I seen this at Wal-Mart for $10.00 back in 2003. I still have it today same color too.
wow I wish I got it back then!
Great review! I love this model!!
AUDIRS41997 Thanks!
Nice video. It's impressive your collection
Got mine for $50, it got so much more expensive and rare over the years. Still pretty cool!! ( I got the blue one )...
Intresting car! Nice review!
Very cool. Thanks!

Not bad for a budget model, I have the autoart version which is in right hand drive like the real life JDM spec version.
Can you do a review for your motorMax Lexus sc430 convertible
Love how it's left hand drive despite them being right hand drive. Reminds me of my 1:18 AUTOart R32 GTR I'm having converted into left hand drive
erod017 This is a strange detail. The only thing I can think of is that Motormax modeled the car after a converted version.
It's my idea of a fantasy U.S. Spec R32 GTR.
nice review looks like a decent motormax
thejman63 Definitely one of the better ones from their early days.
I enjoy your reviews. They help me make better informed decisions on what models to buy.Just wondering if you have any opinions on models by Chrono?
If your getting a skyline dont get this. Save up and get a autoart R34 super good detail
You could get 5 of these for the price of the Autoart.
Yes but the quality and detail on the autoart is totally worth buying. Ebay has it for 130$

hes more of a casual diecast collector, not a serious one.
There was 1 (that actually looked like this) that was converted to LHD in America I believe.
It is also available in midnight purple as that is the one I have.
Steering wheels is on the wrong side!
