His prediction will kick in, when the chips are available and the manufacturers can use them. When the CPUs and the memory amount is ready, then the advanced *AI can be in smaller computers too.*
Just a correction, it has been approximated that there are about 100 billion neurons in a human brain, gave or take a few bilion. IBM researchers have recently created a 5-billion transistor chip that is meant to mimic the human brain. It has low power requirements and can performs functions like motion control, pattern recognition, and audio processing.
it's also architecture, and the much larger number of dendrites and even crazier number of connections between neurons via dendrites. It will take longer time.
Let's say we imitate human brain's architecture and build the real AI that surpass us, then we made intelligence in the image of ourselves. Q: why can not us be made by "God" in his own image?
Science can never explain where does the root theory origins, just like religion will never answer why god exist. No difference, still no way to figure out our existence...
Today's topic is #Singularity. The term has different definitions depending on whom you ask, and it often overlaps with ideas like transhumanism. But the broad idea is that the rate of technological progress is accelerating exponentially, and will continue to do so, to the point where it escapes all efforts at control. The projected results vary: the extermination of the human species by godlike artificial intelligences is a favourite of the pessimists. Optimists, meanwhile, prefer to conjure up an age of limitless material abundance and infinite leisure, with genetically modified humans bound together by brain implants into a solar-system spanning hivemind, or perhaps uploading their minds into a silicon utopia. And because of the power of exponential growth-where every doubling creates as much progress as all previous doublings combined-this science-fiction future is actually mere decades away. #ZeljkoSerdar #MasayoshiSon #softbank #VisionFund #softbankユーザー #vision #future #futurevision
Optimistic and pessimistic views on AI will not happen for the majority of the earth’s population for generations upon generations because of the economic status quo. Advanced AI will happen within the next generations lifetime, but it will unfortunately be available only to the financial elite, perhaps under a hundred thousand out of 8 billion lives.
AI will never have human consciousness; it may minic it to some degree, but it will never have the creativity, or the attributes of consciousness, which transcend the physical aspect of existence.
I don’t believe machines will surpass human intelligence. Just to make self driving cars identify between old lanes and new lanes on the freeway it will take long..... time.
Perhaps, a better way to look at it is this. Human intelligence saw "Driving cars between lanes" as the highest form of expression in terms of providing transportation. Machines will rewrite this equation. Cars? Lanes? Machines will redefine all these terms. Consider, the original meaning of the word "computer", which refers to a human being who performs arithmetic calculations. Later, this word will take its new meaning we are used to today; to the point, even the world's greatest encyclopedia (Wikipedia) does not consider the original meaning of computer in its write-up of the topic. Machines will not surpass human intelligence; machines will crush human intelligence as long as you stick to the present context and definition of what it means. It's like saying "planes will never achieve flight greater than birds". Of course, from a purely bio-organic point of view, birds retain the original essence of 'flying' (even this will change in the future). But, do we still consider birds as the greatest exponent of the physics of flying? A final note, machines will definitely augment human intelligence. The key point is, what ARE these machines going to look like? They wont be the large bulky devices you have in your pocket. They may not even be small, microchips that you can implant in ur brain. They may be a techno-organic fluid that you ingest, drinking like Kool-Aid. Just don't drink the Kool Aid too much, if you know what I mean.

lets come back in 20 years
30 years from now it will be absolutely amazing or absolutely terrifying, no middle ground
A.G.I Will be man's last invention

u believe ahh until then where is it and what is it used for?
I see partially why Elon says AI is more dangerous than Nuke.

reading a newspaper at 00:50 though

At first I was also thinking about which singularity is he asking about? Cause the term is used in various places with different yet similar meaning.
Passion and vision💪👍
What a visionary.
He is being right oh my god
Thanks
This is when machine will replace humans. Machine is not better than human.
Ashik Iqbal I'm some Feild they are and in the future they well be in every Feild
We are all doomed
anybody know where you can see the whole recording? or what event was he speaking at? (since this looks like a cut clip)
I think it was during his visit to India at "start-up India event"
Masa great visionary.
I played it in 1.25x
Singularity in a nutshell: Monopoly..
Nice
Think big and make big
You couldn't upload full video on TH-cam? That too 🆓!
In 30 years he'll be an Emperor
A.G.I Will be man's last invention
In 30 years, Masayoshi Son will be 90 years old. :D He probably won't be as sharp as he is now.
He will be smarter....once the implant is implanted.
Look at WB.
How to stop cake browser ads 😭
Son is like, tooth fairy took my tooth and I want it back, but after looking at audience... Wait do you even understand the concept of tooth fairy?
Bottle babies will ruin everything

@trevenman: It will be obvious to everyone when AI is common place.:)
Skynet said no to humans
My Future ? We Broker
This guy love to destroy the humanity.
Singularity - computer intelligence surpasses mankind intelligence.
Our Brain = one chip .
Son: Vision of Asia
Not only Asia but world. Because I don't know any billionaire with such a powerful vision.

So scary...
no. The singularity is when AI becomes self aware. In many important ways AI is already smarter than humans
With Moore's law we too can predict lol
Hahahaha (Skynet giggles)
Huawei official voice on yesterday's Meng Wanzhou hearing conclusion : @
Is its recent video?
Singularity ...haha
Pls stop all this the world is gettibg scarier day by dau
people still believe in religion
Two things aren't future Robots can't be smarter than men and time travel is stupidity.
