Holiday in Dalyan Turkey

Kindly subscribe if you like my travel videos. Dalyan, a 45 minutes drive from Dalaman airport, is located between the districts of Marmaris and Fethiye. Life and tourism in Dalyan revolves around the Dalyan Çayı River which flows past the town. The boats that ply up and down the river, past reeds, make for lovely transport to all the local sites. Above the river's sheer cliffs are the facades of Lycian tombs cut from rock around 400 BC. The ruins of the ancient city of Kaunos are a 3 minute boat trip across the river. Both are included in this video.
This is a lovely holiday town and people are the friendliest I have met anywhere. The streets are full of cafes and eating places. The local beer Efes is as good as any.
You can easily take a day trip to Rhodes from here, to see some Greek ruins, though sadly the Colossus of Rhodes is no more than mere dust, all blown away! No one even knows exactly where the statue once stood.

You will enjoy it especially if you like ABBA, They seem to play their music in every bar and cafe!! I will be there again but in the second week of October.
