Great video! I think that wooden "spikey rolling pin looking thing" was a foot massager. lol The two rubber rings on either end would grip on the floor and allow a person to roll their foot back and forth.
The drawer could be placed in the bottom of an armoire to organize belts and scarves into; or used in the bottom of a hutch to organize table napkins, napkin rings or candles and candle holders. (5:37)
That glass ashtray is from Mikasa. And it was being sold as an ashtray as well as a tray for wine so that the wine doesn’t stain your table. Circa around 2000.
I found the same glass ‘ashtray’ at goodwill. Mine was in a wine set so I assumed it was used as a coaster for a wine bottle. I use mine as a coaster for my large bath and body works candles.
Julie….I agree with you about the wheelchair. They along with commodes, walkers etc. should be donated to those in need…..nursing homes, senior centers etc. etc. Just my humble opinion.
I have donated many walkers and wheelchairs to agencies who sanitize and deliver the equipment to those in need. Some even deliver to children and adults in need in other countries who would have no access to equipment otherwise. I’ve never dealt with nursing homes directly because I’m donating children’s equipment but if people will do research in their area they will find places to take used items. Especially wheelchairs for kids.
Yes! I agree they should be free! But I worked at a nursing facility and we could not accept any used products not even those in boxes not used. They have to come from a medical facility due to liability concerns as well as insurance. Patients un Nursing homes have Medicaid or Medicare that cover costs for those items. I do; however, suggest to anyone wanting to donate such items to check with local homeless shelters, churches or just let people know you have those items to give away. 💖
I would use that drawer as a remote control holder on the coffee table or perhaps in the entryway for keys and such, or maybe as a charging station. Would also be great for a poker table!
Julie, I think your first item is a wine coaster. I can't tell the size from the monitor but if a bottle fits then that is what it is. I have bought them as gifts for friends who have bars in their homes. Most people don't know what they are; even people with bars.
I have purchased "extra" four-footed canes and walkers from thrift stores to have handy in my car, by the front and back doors of my house, and to have on hand just in case someone needs one in a pinch!... .never a bad idea to have an extra one handy.....and, yes, they could/should be donated. Like to veterans, the less privileged, etc.
The glass/crystal piece that you bought thinking is an ashtray is actual a Mikasa piece from a set that comes with a wine bottle topper. It's to place a wine bottle in on your dining table. I have a few but I too use them for other things.
@@ThrilledThrifter It's a nice piece, and I bought it to use with pillar candles too. Although I paid way more at the thrift store here in Canada. I go to Value Village and they're way overpriced.
The wooden item with ridges is a foot massager. You set it on the floor and roll your foot over it. My husband uses one all the time. It really helps since he walks a lot at his job. I always look forward to thrifting with you!
Hi Julie. My name is Kristine. I came across your channel sometime last week and I have been binge watching ever since! I adore you and your family and all of your inspiration! Your new friend, Kristine
@@ThrilledThrifter You are most welcome 🙏 I look forward to getting to know you better. You make me laugh 😃 and you have great taste. By the way, I don't like cut out hearts in wood either! It has to be a different kind of heart to grab my attention. Also you are teaching me sooo much!
The cassette tape holder, black with drawers I’ve seen used to store kcups, teabags, cocoa envelopes in coffee bar areas. They use mason jars on top of it for sugar, marshmallows, etc. Yay, a Warren Kimball print, love his work too❤
I’ve hung a few wooden drawers in several rooms for wall shelves. Kitchen for small spice jars, bathroom for small cosmetics & medicines and my office for my small bottles of essential oils. They look great! I think it would look nice as a way for you to display your collection of clear glass salt & pepper shakers too. ❤
I have several metal cabinets like yours. I have painted and stacked them together each one stores different craft items. One is solely for photos that I have yet to scrapbook I keep according to dates.
You could use random drawers to store things under beds. For example, wrap fabric stash into storage bags and stack into an empty drawer(s), and then, push under a bed until you need to sew something.
It is from Stanley Furniture which was based where I live before all our furniture manufacturing went to China and our jobs. With that red lining it would be nice to layer with for Christmas or maybe sit on a table and just set little Christmas items in. I'm sure you would come up with better ideas. I think it may have been a storage drawer for silverware or jewelry but can't imagine why it was separated from the furniture piece.
My son had one, when he was 3. Nothing tests your patients like grocery shopping, while a 3 year old tries to push a mini buggy around the store 😂 (in Appalachia we call shopping carts buggies)
You should have got the buggy! I have one but no blue on it. It's cute in the kitchen with onions or potatoes in it. Your glass piece would glow so pretty with a big candle in it I have small drawers with recipes in them and another I store my small bottles in. Mine were from an old sewing machine.
Hit the Goodwill tonight, found solid white small roosters, brass candleholder with a handle, a goose soup taurean solid white ( love it), 2 hardback books for coffee table, one was black cover, gold writing with Gold edge on pages, it's about Lincoln writings. Also grabbed a white hens nest. Went home 😊 happy
Oh you should’ve got the little buggy that was such a great idea you had for it. The glass ashtray you could also flip over and use for a small riser. Thanks for sharing great video!
For the crystal dish you wat to use asa drip saucer, I put colored fish tank gravel in the bottoms so the water can drain out and put humidity in the air and not allow the plant to sit in water.
Julie, I wholeheartedly agree that they should donate wheelchairs, commodes, etc. to care homes. Speaking from someone who’s a carer, the prices medical renters charge the residents is astronomical! As long as they’re in good condition, I don’t see why it can’t be used! I love your idea repurposing the ash tray as a plant dripped! I love how we can repurpose things from what they were intended.
The black metal cabinet could be used as a big recipe box too, just put in index cards and store recipes that you don't use often but you don't want to get lost.
Julie, great haul! The Warren Kimble print is actually Vintage (I know It’s hard to believe 20 years is now considered Vintage) and it was a pair and they sell on Mercari and Etsy for quite a lot. Great Find!!!! Those little baskets were beautiful. I can’t wait to see how you style everything. 💜💜💜
The black drawer thing that you got looks like a card catalog drawer. It would be ideal for those long utensils that you don’t use all year long like serving spoons and long carving knives and stuff like that.
I love the plates a,d the litle shelve with hooks I scored a clasifying cabinet last week I love the artwork What a grate price for those 3 planters; Thank you for sharing XXX
I really enjoy your videos and wanted to let you know. And please do your talking about the things you buy as you go. Iy is something you have done and you should continue to do so. Oh, and when you said "Squirl" and showed a picture of one you had me cracking up! Good job with that!
Julie, I am enjoying your Goodwill shopping trips. I am sitting here with a small notebook taking notes on the art work.. My favorite thing was the little shopping cart. I have been trying to find one. Wish me luck. You got some pretty good stuff. See you on your next video.
Hi Julie, great trip. I loved that little buggie, just too cute! I also liked the shelves at 1:55, the little green basket at 6:53, and the blue flower planters. When I saw the chicken picture I just knew you'd get that. Looking forward to Tuesday's video. Pet Piper for me and have a great weekend!
Hey Julie! What if you used the black filing cabinet to put a coffee pot and your heated creamer? Fill the drawers with coffee pods, hot chocolate, spoons, etc. Then it will free up more space! Good luck!💖
I just saw a cooking video and she was using a recipe from a First Edition Good Housekeeping Cookbook, that she found at a Thrift Store. She was making Apple Fritter from scratch. I believe she said it was a 1929 recipe. I thought about you since you started a cooking video, and I know that you always check out the book section at Goodwill. That’s going to be my mission when I visit a Goodwill store. I want to see if I can find a First Edition Good Housekeeping Cookbook.
The black 3 drawer file box would be a really roomy for recipes on index cards....maybe put it on your counter by your stove 😊with decor on top of some sort....
You could put a long dowel down the center of each of the blue planters (use a bead between each one to hold it (with glue) and you would have a big plant stand.
I always watch your videos as soon as I wake up...and I have to say, I watched the SQUIRREL part a few times before I understood it 😳🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and you definitely should have that little shopping cart!!🥰🥰🥰🥰

I would put casters on the drawer and use it for under the bed storage.
That’s awesome. Thank you 😊!
The black 3 drawer organizer might fit packets of seeds. You could have a drawer fo4 flowers, one for herbs and vegetables.
'Think outside the Kleenex box.' Haha. You are so funny, not even trying. 🤭😘
Put casters on the bottom of the drawer and use it for storage under beds
What a WONDERFUL idea! Thank you 😊
That file cabinet you can put your seeds for your planting you can store seeds in their packets 🌱
Oh that’s perfect. Thank you 😊!

For that drawer, I'd ad some low profile casters and use it for under the bed storage.
Oh perfect!
That wood thing is a foot massager. You're supposed to roll your foot over it. My kids bought me one. Love your rooster picture.
Oh nice! Thank you 😊!
I was hoping someone would have a clue!
I also see things for the garden …tools and some boxes to plant like 🌿 herbs
5:36 As a shelf sitter….meaning leave it and walk away!! 😂

Absolutely!

It is probably a wine bottle coaster for use on the table to keep wine drips from staining a tablecloth.
Oh thank you. This is awesome!
@@ThrilledThrifter: They look great holding pillar candles......
@@ThrilledThrifter It's a nice piece, and I bought it to use with pillar candles too. Although I paid way more at the thrift store here in Canada. I go to Value Village and they're way overpriced.
I agree. Medical equipment and DME is so expensive. It should be donated!
Yes!
You could use the drawer as a shelf on the wall since it had the dividers in it.
Thank you 😊!
I think the wood barbell looking thing
Is to put on floor & roll your foot over.
Thank you 😊!
Squirrel!!! You're too funny! 😂
😂😂
Hi July loves and fun thrifting Oklahoma fam
Thank you 😊!
The Kleenex box made me think dryer sheets would be good under that box too.
Oh yes! Good idea! Thank you 😊!
I have a wooden Kleenex box on top of my dryer for my dryer sheets. I love it. ❤

Set that drawer in a bigger drawer so you can use the dividers for napkins, silverware etc.
Perfect! Thank you 😊!
Maybe add some wooden spindles to the drawer for legs.
Good idea!
I believe the carved wooden thing is a foot roller/massager. It's modern. Love the thrift trip!

The wooden ribbed spool is a foot massager.

Hi! Are you from NC? We had a Stanley plant in West End, NC. That’s about 40 minutes from my small town of Rockingham.
The wooden piece is a foot roller. Place it on the floor and roll your foot forward and back for a foot massage!
Thank you 😊!
I saw someone use a "drawer" like that to display their antique silverware collection.

Julie, I see that “ashtray” as a candle holder just my opinion, but you got some good ideas too of course!😊
I love the glass ashtray. I’m a non smoker but I would have grabbed that too
the first piece is mikasa wine stand, was sold with a grape stopper
