    Addendum: King Sunny Ade was born in Ondo town, not Akure. He's from a royal family in Ondo town he married a royal family in Akure. Pls correct this. We are proud of KSA in Ondo town. Thanks.

    Ambrose Campbell is widely acknowledged by all these musicians as the father of Jùjú music and the first to expose Jùjú music to an international audience in London, UK. He never got much recognition for his work unfortunately.

      I don't think Ambrose Campbell did juju music. It is true that a lot of juju musicians borrowed from his composition but he did highlife and folk music.

    Dele Abiodun could have been up there with Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey.
    But he refused to sing the praises of local business men.

    This could have been more interesting if the pictures of these legends was shown… It should have been like a documentary, not just a narration. Thanks.

      Check for 'Live live juju music by King Sunny Ade' The song was part of KSA's performance in Seattle in the early 80s. It's on my channel.

    What about Dizzy k, kujore

    • @SongTown
      @SongTown  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dizzy K did funk not juju. Dayo Kujore was good but I don't think he a had as much impact as those mentioned in the video.
