That is a great and versatile piece. I got two a few months ago, for my screened porch at the back of my house. To make it fit in with the rest of the boho room, I spray painted the doors a dark turquoise and the other pieces a lighter turquoise before assembling it. It looks bri,lliant, like it was purposely built in!

Love the hallway makeover : ), makes a massive difference to the space. Like that you used dried flowers over fresh ones. I have the same Ikea mirror too, it's so nice : )
This looks really good; I love the finished look. Just a word of warning with eggshell paint; some people like me can be affected by the fumes, it makes me cough constantly. So paint in a really well ventilated room or even outside if poss.
Hi Lorna, this is a water based eggshell with a low VOC, Generally oil based paints would cause a smell and reaction. Have you tried using water based paints?
Hi Catherine What a super difference this shoe cabinet has transformed your hallway. I love the the colour and the gold handles. Your skill at putting this together is so good.Also what a great idea to combine the decor styling with a sanitising station including masks. You should be so proud of yourself. The rug was excellent and I really love the doormat shaped as a heart. As I have heart shaped items throughout my home.It makes it really welcoming when you enter your home which is important. Hi, Catherine. This is so inspiring, really lovely. A tip for when you are drilling into a wall and want to reduce mess: stick an old envelope to the wall below the point where you will be drilling (We usually use masking tape). It catches most of the mess and reduces cleaning-up time.

Even washable rugs won't hold up to dirt tracked in at entry. I finally opted for an indoor-outdoor (patio) rug. You'd be amazed at the variety of patterns! They hold up REALLY well to wear & dirt. To deep clean, you just take them outside & hose off. Regular vac with the Dyson can definitely help extend the life of the regular carpet. I love my V8

I love the look, I do not have a problem with shoes, but I do have a narrow hallway and the ubiquitous electricity control panel box which cannot be moved. But I wanted pretty, behind my door was a 10-inch space. I had an Ikea tall CD holder unit and it fitted in beautifully I moved in ceramic plant pots not in use at the moment and I constantly change it out. One of the Ikea drawer. dividers fits I use at the bottom to hold extra plugin scented products, and other have my masks , It is so nice to see the space filled and practical and somewhat pretty.

I covered my hall rug with contractors sticky plastic stair covering. It's clear and you don't notice it.
