    I had an OP-1 for a while and I enjoyed it but I felt completely stuck with it, creatively. After a few months without something to tinker with, I decided to pick up a used MPC Live 2. I didn’t know how to use it but I’ve been watching your videos and have been learning a whole lot. There’s still so much I need to learn but it’s all part of the process. I appreciate you, man. Keep up the great work!

    I get what you mean about matching the textures of your drums to the sample. I have been playing around with the Air Flavor pro plugin as well a bunch to add grit and texture to some of the cleaner sounding drums one shots. I have been using it on a bunch of loops me and my buddy have been creating as well. It's a really fun plug in.

    Thanks for teaching so welI, Malo. I just have a doubt: you assigned kick to pad bank 1, a sample to pad bank 2 and why snare, hit hat and the second sample are in the bank C, and how did you solo only this second sample, as there are more instruments there? I know it could be not a good idea use banks E - H, but how did you assign 3 different things in only one bank? Thanks in advance.

  • @imusic1006

    Hey bro just came across your channel as I’m potentially in the market for an mpc. I’m currently using ableton with serato sample and mpd. The thing I love about this method is how easy it is to warp the samples to any bpm. Do you think I would miss this greatly if I got a one or a live?

    • @malobeats
      @malobeats ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey brother, this is a great question and I’m glad you dropped by with this. I recently started messing with Serato and it is really interesting on what I can do. I do not feel like the warping is as good as you will find in a computer, so I don’t really warp as much here on the MPC but other than that everything else when it comes down to chopping sample sequencing, pitching up or down works flawlessly with the MPC. It’s just when it comes down to Time stretching and warping it is probably not going to be the best in my personal opinion.
