i was there last year and i love sintra and quinta da regaleira all the symbolism in there is amazing.. im studying this place rigth now
Elii Rodriguez glad u doing that but I'm afraid u will not find out the tru meaning of those signs ... only the tru original peoples know they meaning .. I do know what they meaning , buts a secret I will not revel it to you .
There here in Scotland......and then on to the new world but not from that place but somewhere else in Portugal.

I liked that you went through most of the grounds. Do you have more about the house? Stories/Rumors abound that there are secret passages in the house. Btw, where did those tunnels lead to?

+Noel Paech The land that is now Quinta da Regaleira had many owners over the years. It belonged to the Viscountss of Regaleira, a family of wealthy merchants from Porto, when it was sold in 1892 to Carvalho Monteiro for 25,000 réis. Monteiro was eager to build a bewildering place where he could collect symbols that reflected his interests and ideologies. With the assistance of the Italian architect Luigi Manini, he recreated the 4-hectare estate. In addition to other new features, he added enigmatic buildings that allegedly held symbols related to alchemy, Masonry, the Knights Templar, and the Rosicrucians. The architecture Manini designed evoked Roman, Gothic, Renaissance, and Manueline styles. The construction of the current estate commenced in 1904 and much of it was completed by 1910. (wiki)

6€. The gardens and all outside are the best, so avoid the winter because of the rain... =)

А вы снимаете пейзаж... да не спорю он тоже весьма красив.. но прикаснуться к части истории, разглядеть ваочую каждую деталь.. это ведь велеколепно !
