    You read my mind with that intro, everything you said is on point, EVERYTHING. So I'm hoping in and will see what I can do, hopefully it will be what makes or brakes me in the blender universe cause I do feel like I've covered a lot of ground without really getting/retaining anything deep about any subject. I like your approach and your style, thank you very much for this full course, hopefully I'll get somewhere with this and be happy to thank you with more than words in the future ;)

    I spent twenty years consulting, selling, and teaching high end CAD/CAM systems and have to give you a tip-of-the-hat for your teaching methods, very similar to my own. Your focus on the tools actually in Blender and not using third party add-ons as a crutch is crucial to mastering the software. Larger add-ons are disasters looking for a place to land, usually on an important project. Nice pace, good technique and good habits, you have an excellent style.

    • @Chocofur
      @Chocofur  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your comment! I'm so glad to see someone who actually works in the field and understands the hindrances of the arch-viz industry. People so often focus on the quality and render times not knowing that the beautiful and shiny renderings are maybe 10-15% of what's created in arch-viz every day (and they're rarely what brings you the actual money). If you do it long enough all you want is to have a predictable working process. And that only comes with the most vanilla software version you can get so, no matter in what project stage you are in, everyone can jump in and continue the work.

    • @path11media88
      @path11media88 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Chocofur In Andrew Price's newsletter this week he gave a link to a project on Behance by Mykola Mondich called "Hampton Villa" that is just jaw dropping, indistinguishable from professional photography, and the very best photography at that. I'm sure just a sample of the work you mention being created every day.

    • @Chocofur
      @Chocofur  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@path11media88 I saw the project, it looks nice. We also work with artists capable of delivering similar quality. From my experience, these images are not the ones bringing the most money to the business, considering the time it takes to deliver them. But they look impressive that's for sure.

    I only just stumbled upon this today as I recently re-started my Blender journey after much distractions due to my graphics/web design and photography roles at companies plus some freelancing on the side, but now find myself out of work since October due to company layoffs, and Im considering my direction again.
    I had been revisiting some Blender techniques for hard surfaces modelling I have indeed forgotten many approaches and techniques and having to re-learn again but hopping between different educators is an inconsistent and drawn out approach.
    Your course could form the focus and direction I need right now as most of my 3D work has been hobbyist around product design and concept art. If I can take this course now and complete this in a week and come out the other side at an elevated level this could be my next direction.
    I use EEVEE nearly all the time as I prefer the speed of working and rendering without burdoning myself too much with hyper realistic looks but I see this course is Cycles and so I feel this is the right moment to take that on if Im to produce brochure quality output in what could be my new career direction.
    Thank you so much for providing this focused and specialist course - I will let you know how I get on !
    Kind regards from London UK

    This course will be really interesting for me to see because I'm not too familiar with Blender's archviz capabilities and I'm eager to understand how good Blender is compared to Max for this kind of work. Depending on how easy it is to use Blender for archviz, I might start using it instead of 3ds Max. I tried blender a few years ago and it was still not archviz friendly with lack of good snapping and other important things I use a lot in 3ds Max. Hopefully this has changed.

    was just checking your Bcon19 video. Nice trick using that light pass. kinda reminds me of the old sibl lighting method. My old render engine had this sort of implemented. I could set different strengths for lighting, background, reflection and refraction. It also had render buffer, so we could adjust after we rendered it. Kinda what Ecycles has.
    PS I actually updated the addon Save-All-Render passes. It automatically set-ups all the nodes when passes are checked and also saves them correctly. Its all done on the fly! Ill need to add a new release to my github, kinda forgot about it.

      Hey, thanks for your comment! Subscription plans give you access to the extra content - project files, Blender assets, on page course chapters with extra tips, image explanations etc (video is not always the best medium to explain everything). The videos themselves should be enough if you really want to learn, but the extra content (especially the project files) can be helpful as well.
      The PRO Subscription also gives you access to almost 2000 Blender models and interior scenes.

    The hardest part for me is not learning a program its figuring out what I want to make. Do I search for 2D plans online and go from there or is it better that make a room or interior from imagination. I guess I could create a mood board and get inspired from that and then create the interior. Maybe that’s it. Anyone have any advise.

    • @EmiliaHoarfrost
      @EmiliaHoarfrost 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't know how far you've gotten but I guess reproducing/studying photographs, using generative AI, and going from imagination till you do a portfolio, and then contacting studios or companies looking for a gig, to be issued documentation, could be the way to go? Maybe trying to do environment art with assets already provided, or to learn to model those assets... Well, I'm kinda going to bump into the same issues so here are my uneducated two-cents at the very least...

      It has the light mix for a very long time now, just not in the official build. Check the Bone-Studio Blender build on Graphicall.

    Hello there!
    I would like to kindly request your permission to translate and upload some of your videos in Russian on my TH-cam channel. Of course, I will provide a link to your original channel in the video description. Would you have any objections to this?
    Thank you for your response, and I apologize for any inconvenience.
    Best regards!

    I paid for this course a while ago and now you are giving it away for free???? That wasn’t very nice.

      The course wasn't the videos only, it includes much more. In the future all Chocofur course videos will be available on TH-cam.

    I really hate how your course has been pirated. It doesn't deserve it. The content in your course deserves a payment.

      No worries, I saw this coming sooner or later. If people want to learn from it I don't want to make it harder. But at the end of the day, I need to make money like everyone else.

      @@Chocofur I purchased your course. That is why I got disappointed to those people who did this to you. In fact, I also reported it to your team when I saw that your course is being pirated. I saw it really unfair for a very nice composition of tutorial. I wish you the best of luck, please do continue your works because what you are doing is effective and helps a lot of professionals!
