Hi great video, what are the thread sizes for the center nut, the clutch knobs, the rear plug and the lockdown bolts . Also do you know what type of thread holds the counterweight as I may need to get made a smaller weight many thanks Also what material did you use for the shims to stop it rocking . Im working on a Polmaster / Ioptron Ipolar holder for the LX850, to 3d Print. will send you the stl file when complete. Regards Alex (UK)
@@meademods6024 decided to pull it apart to see where the issue is. Seems the outer sleeve with the ring gear is out of round by a few thousands. Even cleaned up and relubed it's a bit snug. I'l pull it apart again and do a full 360 measure to find the tight spots. The ring gear and sleeve are a slide on that should be removed with a proper tool. It doesn't seem to impact controlled rotation but does impact balancing of the OTA.
Meademounts…what a great idea. I enjoyed your video. Thank you.

Have you ever done a mod on a LX85 mount, particularly the DEC axis. Mine feels like it is so gummed up that the motor screams when slewing.
There is a mode tou can do it is a belt drive upgrade but not sure who makes it.
There is a lot of info in the meadelx200 nonaffical on facebook
