    Hi Ali,
    First of all big thanks, your template has everything I was searching for and even things I actually didn’t think of. I am just getting started with it but I’m pretty convinced that it will give me exactly that organizational boost that I was searching for.
    One thing I would like to mention is that, after I went through your series and your step by step instruction and the integration of the Readwise library I noticed that it might have been better to do the integration earlier. The reason for this is I tried to be as accurate as possible from the beginning with creating all the areas, projects etc. But now that the template library is exchanged with the Readwise library it seams that I don’t just have to adjust every template but also very page (area, project etc.) since the template created them with the library template that get exchanged with the Readwise library.
    In case I did not understand anything wrongly that’s kind of a hassle, which could be avoided. But nonetheless worth it.
    Thank you very much ✌🏾

      You are right Caleb! In my knowledge hub video I did mention that the Integration would be covered later and the database included in the template is just for an example so you see what properties/views I used.
      Anyway for the integration, after you have the library all you need to do is to just relate the database to your new areas and projects. That's it!

    Thanks for creating this video. You showed how linking Readwise to Notion create a separate notion page. You showed how to link the Readwise library to your weekly review. But how do you link (and merge) the Readwise library to your knowledge hub library?

    • @Ali_Younessi
      @Ali_Younessi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The readwise library is my knowledge hub library! All you need to do after you did the Integration as I showed Is to move the database under your knowledge hub section and add any filters, sorts and views you want. In the template I have added a sample library so you can copy from it

    • @Ali_Younessi
      @Ali_Younessi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This way the library for your knowledge hub is created and it is also automatically synced with readwise so you can use it normally but also when you export stuff out of readwise.

      Ah ok, that makes sense. Thanks! I’ll try it out .

      @@Ali_Younessi how about those who have existing reading database

    • @ayou52
      @ayou52 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexandriathera1153 unfortunately notion does not have an easy way of doing this. What you can do is to. Match your properties of both data bases then copy all content from the old database to the new one. But all property types and names should be the same!

    can i make readwise send me 5 highlights from my notion which i have send from my kindle to my notion and summarized there instead of sending me 5 highlights from my kindle ?

    • @Ali_Younessi
      @Ali_Younessi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey not that I know of. If you want to do that you should look at the notion api and zapier maybe. But readwise is a 1 way integration only. Atleast at this time.

      What do your want to learn about?

  • @huntercovelski736
    @huntercovelski736 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So do I need to delete the Knowledge base you made and then make a new one from my readwise? If I do this how do I still add other knowledge not from Read wise?

    • @Ali_Younessi
      @Ali_Younessi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. After you create the new one you can use it like a normal database. Add delete properties and views

    Great vid Ali! QQ: does this work the other way? So if you delete something in Notion, does it delete in Readwise? Also If you add something in readwise does it auto go to Notion?

  • @LucasOverseas

    Super Useful! thank you for this detailed video. Can I edit directly on the table of Notion? Will it impact the next sync from Readwise?

    • @Ali_Younessi
      @Ali_Younessi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you can do whatever you want to the table after it has been created. The sync should just work still
