One time a boy liked me,but we were both super shy so we never talked to eachother n my bestie n my cousin had a crush on him, my cousin just blamed me n hated me for it, but my bestie just laughed it off n only cutely complained to me. I liked that boy too but since my bestie liked him i didn't say anything n told her i don't like him so she can court him (or whatever they called😂), so after sometime they ended up being in a relationship. Asian parents have a major say whether they approve the match or not. We believe in being blessed or cursed. Being disowned by one’s family for the choices made is an Asian reality. It’s not all but predominantly speaking, yes… It happened to my uncles and aunts, cousins and us.
It’s an ongoing thing. We don’t talk back at our parents & maintain harmonious relationships with cousins too.
