This game is literally "Insane Details: The Game." A few that I've encountered: - I once killed a guy that had a small camp up in the northern area by the mountains. He fell in the river, but was found downriver by the law. They rode over and asked Arthur if he saw any suspects around and I replied that I didn't. They left to keep searching, but then when they didn't find anybody else around they returned and I was wanted. - If you save a guy from a snake bite, they can get bit again later. This happened to me and the dialogue between Arthur and the guy changed to match. Arthur was upset that he allowed himself to get bitten again and threatened to not keep helping him. - Stumbled upon a hunter that was tracking a bear. Followed him until he found the bear, but the bear saw him and instantly started charging. I wasn't quick enough to shoot it, so the guy got mauled.I imagine he would have thanked me or something if I shot the bear in time.
I love how Arthur can survive getting shot, stabbed, tortured, choked multiple time but he gets KO'd with a single punch when he antagonize people in the camp.
Fun detail I found; if your on your horse near your camp and if you accidentally ride Into something near the camp, the person who is observing the area with notice it and say something like “Funniest thing I’ve seen all day.”

As a strings player myself, I must add that in the mission where you attend the high society party that Bronte invites you to, the players on the quartet do fingerings and bowings on their instruments that are very accurate to the music, rather than just shaking the arms around aimlessly. Same for the fiddlers you can find around in taverns and such.

So amazing.. Rockstar is just in a whole different league, man.. I was very surprised that arm, leg, and even hand shots can be a one shot instant kill, given the efforts taken towards realism and detail. Maybe it was needed to increase the pace and fluidity of combat action..

In Fallout it was simply an aesthetic detail, whereas in RDR2 there's a delay for when you bleed out from severing a major artery (in other words, there’s a sense of cause-and-effect). In RDR2 it's as if the bleeding out causes you to die whereas FO4 it felt more like you died and just happened to bleed out.

I like how realistic NPCs are. They just greet you like people do in real life instead of telling you their life story everytime you come within 10 feet of them like they do in other games (looking at you, Bethesda)

One thing that disappointed me with the details is that you dont actually see the food that you’re feeding your horse. Its more like stick your hand out and feeding air. I know its a small detail but its a nice touch, especially considering all the details they’ve added but not this.
I've been playing this game for 9 months and only did 6 missions I don't ever want the game to end why can't ppl just make more games like this 🤷🏾♂️ they have the money and the next gen system rdr2 and fallout new vegas is my top 2 games of my life 👍
With the horse kick I find it interesting the level of detail that they used. If your kicked in the head it is immediate death but if kicked in the body you're close to death and that is great detail
I don't know how much variety there is in the random encounters, but the most interesting one I came across was a woman pretending to be hurt and calling out for help....only to rob me at gun point. She even had a couple of goons hiding out nearby lol.
I love the lasting consequences of your actions, it's not like GTA where you lay low for a while and all is forgiven, you'll get bounties and if you rob stores they'll remember you when you come back.

Hung Ngo Maybe for you, but it’s not so striking as in RDR2. The game is so realistic, characters are much more complex, they seem so humanly that I really feel compassion for them. I also felt really bad when killing pets in GTA 5, even though killing people there was not a big deal. Don’t know why it’s like that but I guess it is something about my psychological nature.

I like how realistic NPCs are. They just greet you like people do in real life instead of telling you their life story everytime you come within 10 feet of them like they do in other games (looking at you, Bethesda)

I got one in case u didn’t know when u knock someone out he will get up later, and it’s very cool they get up still walking Dizzy touching they’r face spitting a little blood and what’s very interesting is that the knocked out opponents don’t get up at the same time some will get up in 5 minutes and some in 10 minutes

One thing that disappointed me with the details is that you dont actually see the food that you’re feeding your horse. Its more like stick your hand out and feeding air. I know its a small detail but its a nice touch, especially considering all the details they’ve added but not this.

With the horse kick I find it interesting the level of detail that they used. If your kicked in the head it is immediate death but if kicked in the body you're close to death and that is great detail

I don't know how much variety there is in the random encounters, but the most interesting one I came across was a woman pretending to be hurt and calling out for help....only to rob me at gun point. She even had a couple of goons hiding out nearby lol.

I love the lasting consequences of your actions, it's not like GTA where you lay low for a while and all is forgiven, you'll get bounties and if you rob stores they'll remember you when you come back.

Hung Ngo Maybe for you, but it’s not so striking as in RDR2. The game is so realistic, characters are much more complex, they seem so humanly that I really feel compassion for them. I also felt really bad when killing pets in GTA 5, even though killing people there was not a big deal. Don’t know why it’s like that but I guess it is something about my psychological nature.

I love details like the part where Arthur dies of tuberculosis and you play as john for the rest of the game and build bleachers hope and explore the whole old map from rdr1
