    The Vickers may not be the best MG with regard to suppression, but it makes up for it by having a big heart

      Also it has high cool points (cause of the water cooled barrel jacket)

    I think instead of the third vickers you could go for a dingo instead, one because it could spot for your machine guns, a sapper squad can repair it so you don’t have to worry about dropping models, and in the field healing for your units and it can call in air strikes

      With mgs in the state they are currently you don't really need a spotter.

      I could see a second engineer if you need a flamer vs buildings but I figure if you are going for the training centre upgrade, might as well lean into it.

    Hahaha, I wasn't expecting a build like this. I've been doing a fun creative commando build with a 3 sapper build for 4 total, followed by the infantry training center buff which usually hit before the first engagement on larger maps, into a Vickers to secure areas and back up the sappers, into tech and eventually Commandos. Healing would come before tech for me most of the time. I'd usually get 1 Commando squad followed by an LMG squad or a Humbar, Stuart, or AT gun depending on how the game is going. I don't see the LMG squad much so I like to try to make them work, they're surprisingly decent if you use them in a defensive or supporting role. Your build is taking advantage of the buffed up Vickers and other changes though, so I'll have to give it a whirl. I want to try a move in a game where I can get a Vickers onto a retreating squad and hit it with the Vet 1 ability, haven't tested it but I imagine it'd be a decent wiping tool. Good stuff :D
    Oh, and it's worth trying that 4 sapper opening with the Armored doctrine and getting the cost reduction for them, your mid game will suffer without the commandos but it is SO cheap. A lot of fun too.

    I actually realized how strong the Vickers is now. especially against DAK. The 3 X Vickers + 1 Scout car is a good starting strat

    The 5 second reverse response time is something I've been experiencing with all my vehicles lately

      It's when you constantly spam commands. It works with infantry when you spam attack move to an area, they stutter in orders and can be costly because they don't move. I am in the middle of training myself not to spam commands, the unit responds fine. but it kind of is frustrating a bit.

    Right, I'm so fucking glad this happened. TIghtrope 30:31. That disgusting thing has happened to me a gazillion times during my games!!!! I press the reverse button but the tank is stuck. It responds after 2 seconds and of course I lose my tank. Did this happen to you for the first time ?

    Is this post new patch? Is the Stuart still viable since nerf? Also you mention not using the special ability on Vickers but its had a big boost to DPS, its viable now in certain situations

    Has anyone had any luck with replacing one of the MGs with a mortar? Been thinking about using this build in 2v2 specifically and it feels like I get killed by stand off weapons like the nebel more than I should tolerate

    @30:00 I think it wasn't moving because you were spamming move commands and it was stopping to think about pathing for half a second every time you clicked. I think it works better if you give it one command and then leave it alone. As soon as you stopped spamming clicks it moved.

      Same thing happens at 25:50, with Grant driving back just after Tightrope stops giving it reverse commands.

    If the vickers had a ability that did the opposite (increased fire angle but reduced damage) I'd probably do this every game, but while they lack one thats really usable I'll stick to a single MG

    I hope they keep working on sound design. All small arms fire (with the exception of the browning automatics) sound so vague and weak. Not very satisfying imo.

      MG should be available starting from second building for every factions.
      And they should ads 1 CP to the US Mg paradropped

    Why promoting those spammy builds? Haven't you played against maxim spam in coh2? I personally can't name anybody who enjoyed playing against this at that time. You can do better bro
