"Miseram Mortem is a band inspired by post-punk artists of the 80s, and are putting their own twist on the influential sounds of yesteryear. They keep a raw sound which incorporates electric guitar, bass, synth, piano and more intertwined with themes such as religion, loss, and the supernatural. A dark feeling permeates their works giving them a sound reminiscent of, yet set apart from, familiar gothic music. Bandmates Emma and Satya both share very different backgrounds and musical preferences, but are united in Miseram Mortem. Although separated by a continental divide, they work through the struggles of producing music remotely and find themselves inspired as they work off each other’s ideas."
