I hope Slot is more ruthless in picking his team. Klopp - despite being very successful - never really benched his favorite players. Pep is much better in that regard. So, hopefully if you don't perform, you don't start.

Quite a simple answer really, No, FSG won't spend big. One of the reasons they went with Slot is because he improves current players and doesn't have a say in whats being spent

You're wrong, Klopp didn't like the fact that Edwards and Ward brought the players in and he was there to coach them, they both left because of a massive falling out with Klopp. They're back and he's leaving, no coincidence. For the record, Bobby, Sadio and Mo were all Edwards signings, for the record again, Nunez was brought in at the insistence on Klopp and Linders against the club's wishes.
We need:
1. A left footed cb who's able to play as left back if possible
2. A dm (endo will be 31 and bajcetic still need time after long injury)
3. A left footed right winger or able to play both flanks is even better
4. A striker, new number 9 (lets get real nunez wont cut it after 2 mediocre seasons)
If we can keep Jota fit, he will do well for a few years. Was fantastic from what I saw last season. If we can keep him fit no doubt he can be our number 9, but if we can't then we would need to spend big money on a striker.

sell Darwin > Buy any striker from Sunday league, he will be better than Darwin

Liverpool need to sign a world class DM who can play in every single match. They need Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. They also need a new successor for Van Dijk.

Any players who slot has worked with before I don't think we should believe they are coming it's lazy journalism. He's a head coach and will be happy with whatever players he is given
That's your misguided and lazy assumption, not the reality, Edwards and co won't sign players without Slot approval or sign players he doesn't want, so thrash that mindset
The idea of Slot being Head Coach instead of Manager is so that he doesn't get overwhelmed by the amount of responsibilities and suffer form burnout like Klopp did. Klopp was known to take care of pretty much everything football related himself. The new structure that FSG have put in place is designed so that Slot can focus on coaching the team and let other members of staff take care of other duties. I'm sure in time when/if Slot is a success he will gain more power, but I think it's good that he's starting off in a smaller role that focuses entirely on looking after the team.
If they didn’t give it Klopp what chance Slot got. And we had Bobby, Salah and Mane at the time in their prime. The funds for Caicedo were never there, it was a PR stunt. They knew he already was going Chelsea. FSG will get called out next season
Lots of names being offered but what additions to the squad do we need?
1. Replacements for any leavers , currently unknown.
2. DM
3. CB (with pace)
4. LB (to cover for Robbo)
5. RB (to cover for Bradley)
If Slot is prepared to play Danns more regularly and Jotta is fit forwards should not be a problem.

I think we need:
1. A mediocore centerback (we have virg, and i want quansah to get consistent game time along with joemez and konate)
2. A right winger to replace salah in the future
3. A defensive minded midfielder (maybe a loan deal since we have endo in his prime and lots of young talent)

This would be typical Liverpool. I and some others talked about him not so long ago when he was at Feeynoord and said he was a brilliant player and that he would cost peanuts, we didn't go for him and now he's about 5 times the price if not more

I think there is quite a lot of things to decide upon this summer. Players that we know are leaving include Matip and Thiago. Players that probably should leave to get more gametime are the likes of Kelleher, Adrian, Rhys, Nat, and probably Kostas. Players I would like to sell (because there is a chance of getting an upgrade) are Ibou, Joe, Mo and Endo.
Players or type of players I would try to recruit are a DM shield (Boubacar Kamara/Manu Kone/Cheick Doucoure/Youssouf Fofana), a left sided CB (A. Bastoni/Todibo/Geertruida/O. Diomande/ A.Silva / G. Inacio), new left back that could challenge Andy (Balde/ M. Gutierrez/C.Augusto), a new right winger (Nico Williams/B. Mbeumo/M.Edwards/M.Olise/M. Kudus) and a new backup goalkeeper (A.Trubin/J.Trafford/F.Jørgensen)
We could probably get quite a fee for some of the players, making it easier to get som new ones through the doors. We also have some interesting prospect coming back, either from loan or injury, making up the numbers.
I would probably have gone for M.Kudus, A.Bastoni, Balde and F.Jørgensen. This would probably cost us around 200 million, but I think perhaps we could sell for almost as much.
When the gaffer first said he was going to step down and was going to take a year off i thought if an when he starts back that he would work for the red bull association way before pep said he was going to be a manager for them and i still think something might materialise and he did say we wudnt win the league this year maybe next year so fingers crossed mate ynwa
Anyone else see that interview with Lijnders where he said he convinced Klopp to push Trent up into the midfield - this was due to the midfield not being able to fill the hole in the center from when Bobby left. That explains a lot with regard to how vulnerable we were at the back all season. It wasn't all of it but it may have been a big part of it. I will be interested to see how Trent looks defensively under the new coach.
And what is this cr@p about getting a new goalkeeper. We already have the best one in the world at the club. I hope this doesn't mean Alisson is leaving? I'm fine with getting competition for him if that's all this is.
No. They are not backing the manager. They are backing Edwards and whoever else came back because they are the ones who pick the players , Klopp didnt want Salah but the club went ahead and got him anyway because we go off stats and numbers and whatever else.

Liverpool doesn’t need much signings this transfer window. Our team is in good shape and all that we need is three quality signings at CB, DM and a very good striker to replace Salah Incase he leaves next season. Only three additions and we’re good to face any team next season. With the right psyche we can do better than this season, probably winning the league. Benitez won UCL during his first season, so if Slott get his acts right without fear and he try to be ruthless showing little respect to other teams he can do better than this season.

We didnt wanna spend 115mil on Bellongham. We were going to spend on 100mil on Caicedo and then 50mil on Lavia. I love Endo, but surely there is budget. Thiago was on a big salary, so that's freed up too. So at least a midfielder, I'm thinking Kephren or Kone. In the backline Matip was also on a big salary. That's also freed up, and we were looking to spend on Collwill. So a young talented defender would be great. A long term partner for Konate and Quansah. If the Saudis come in with anything over 100mil again for Salah we should take it. We must get the next Suarez with that money (I honestly don't know how to replace Salah...Jared Bowen maybe...)
