Sync3 hidden menu and skin theme change

- How to enter hidden menu in Ford #Sync3 infotainment system. This test mode will give you access to diagnostic data about your system, will perform speakers test going though all audio channels one by one. You can check here how's the GPS signal reception. And you can change skin of the system by selecting one of the available themes for #Ford and Lincoln cars.
Make sure that the sound is not muted and audio volume is set at least to 1, then press and hold button NEXT on the steering wheel, and NEXT under the infotainment display. After few seconds speakers test will begin, which you can end at any time to enter #hiddenMenu.
When you enable test mode, you will see new option in settings menu that will take you directly to this mode, without the need to perform speakers test each time you want to enter it.

Something that makes me sad is that the feature where u can change the theme is only temporary, so like if u restart the car, it reverts back to default

@@route59performance34 Pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean by "Forscan"? I was able to change my theme...but every time I restart my truck it goes back to the default.
Did you ever figure it out? This new 3.4 skin on my truck is awful...switched it to the black label and it rocked...then I restarted my truck and it went back to the old one.

you have to use forscan for it, than you can change it permanently

You need to go to the radio like where you change stations I was having the same issue
I tried all the themes and found that the Lincoln themes won't let you change your ambient lighting but the ford themes will (I have a 2017 Ford Explorer). The shutdown animations are cool. I love the raptor, mustang and Shelby versions but they don't change much or anything but the animations, from what I can tell. Anybody know what the other button, next to the testing button does?

yeah ford pass tells location and unlocks the doors, very risky

You need permission from inside the vehicle to be able to lock/unlock
The FordPass app requires more than the VIN of the vehicle; it also requires linking the phone, and other information to the smart device, before it will unlock the doors, start the engine, etc. I had to wait about 24 hours before my phone was synced to my new Ford vehicle.
These are only testing settings not change settings. After stopping the car. The original settings come back.

how bout this question , so old sync broke , got a used one from a ford everest (same shit just 700$ less ) . works fine but i need mustang premium settings . not everest settings .
You will need to have the unit flashed at a Ford dealer, or have access to a ForScan tool, to reflash that Sync unit. It has to link with the BCM, and the ECM in order to work properly.
I'm able to change But it's not getting save... every time i start the car it goes back to the default theme....pls advise how to change the theme permanently

I believe that you would have to recode the system to new defaults settings.
Just need to find someone with forscan, its a program and a tool to make the change permanent. It will also allow you to do other neat things to your ford..

Mr-fix. I have a problem if you know the solution, I will be very glad. Because service does not know what this is. Approximately once in a month my Ford Turneo Custom model 2019 changing its warning tones itself from normal Ford ding dong tone to another tone which is like 80's old game watch tones. Then after a night it's turning to normal tone when I start the car in the morning?
If you are meaning that the 'sound' of the warning, entry/exit, shutoff, starting tones are low/high, then they sound high/high, then the problem is a weak battery. I had this problem in my 2017 Explorer that the tones would sound very weak, or high-pitch one day after a short drive. Then, the tones would sound normal if I drove for more than an hour. It means the battery voltage is weak, and the software that controls the sounds is receiving low voltage. Sometimes, a message might display 'Battery Saver Mode has been enabled'. If you see this message and hear high-pitch tones, then replace the battery under the hood. That fixed my same problem.

Wszystko fajnie - tylko jak zmienisz MOTYW(a nie każdy działa) to przy kolejnym wł auta wszystko wraca do ustawień fabrycznych :/

Use the function "System Reset" to return the Sync3 to its' original settings and style. This setting is in the Sync3 Settings Menu.

Autolock is enabled or disabled via the Settings Menu in the dash screen of 2017+ Explorer and 2015+ F150/250/350+. Autolock is referring to the power door locks on the vehicle. It means the locks will either automatically lock or remain unlocked after 3-12mph (depending on the vehicle).
