With all of those Christmas trees--guess you will have to dump at the tub shredder!Thats what happens to spent Christmas trees in my area.Get shredded to mulch in a tube grinder. The trees are collected by one of those "clamshell" arm trucks.
aww! We have always recycled trees!! But we have been so short staffed this year, we are just trying to get them off the streets since people like to light them on fire! They are picked up by our yard waste automated crews as well for recycling! We also work weekends driving around looking for trees to recycle!
Ever had anything punch thru the hopper floor in your truck?Long ago watched a video of chairs with metal legs One of the legs punched thru the floor on the video! Was a Leach compactor.
all those trees, cut down for one time human decoration and sent to the dump. ah well, i guess oxygen/clean air isn't that important. great vid though!
3:16 Cars kids bed, play table (Awesome to see them getting crushed :) ) 5:32 Powerwheels car 7:15 & 7:23 Surfboard 11:41 Plastic kiddie pool 30:07 inflatable (maybe)
All that stuff will survive thousands of years in a landfill. Maybe 15 thousand years from now, someone will dig it up and wonder what we did with such things.
Xmas trees claimed first place for taking up the most space followed by mattresses. Another great view and another great video. I thought sure there would be more post Xmas toys hitting the curb. Remember to keep a look out for the trophy to stick under the hydraulic line.
Well I saw plenty of post Christmas toys put out for garbage where I live. I saved at least 40 bags of toys that were thrown away and the ones that aren't broken I'm going to find kids less fortunate to give them to because I had a few Christmases growing up where I didn't get anything so I hate to see stuff like that thrown away
I remember as a kid growing up my parents always donated my toys to the fire department whether I was still playing with them or not. I still saved so many of my kids toys to this day. My kids are 42 and 39
omg! That takes me back a few years.. Guess a sofa I crushed had a Cellphone in there or something and the battery when crushed sparked and Caught my load on fire... I was driving down the street looked in my mirror and say the smoke pulled over... Called Dispatch, told them my location for the fire department which was up the street.. I grabbed my fire extinguisher and just kept spraying it keeping the fire away from my hoses.. Fire department showed up dumped my load middle of the street.. they put it out.. and Mechanic inspected my truck.. said it was good.. and I continued picking up bulky! Another department was called in to clean up the mess! 😉
Michael!!! whats up bud! Been a while! good to hear from you!! Everything good now! Thanks for asking hope everything is going well for you as well!! Thanks Glad you liked the video!!!
yes, they have always been recycled.. but we were experiencing a labor shortage and we had to get those trees off the streets.. For some reason people like to set them on fire... Next y ear it will go back to normal and will be recycled for sure!
Oh, thank go you're back! Do you have any idea how hard it is to go on with my life without hearing an seeing things get destroyed with no consequences?
Happy new year mate. Do you guys run seperate trucks after Christmas for the Christmas trees or do you just mix them with bulk waste since I saw a few going in the truck in this video. Where I live we stop bulk waste pickups in the second and third January week (bulk waste is still in scheduled zones around here) and the bulk waste trucks collect Christmas trees for two weeks with one area being done on one of the 14 days. Would be a waste not to recycle the trees, my city drops them off at the local zoo where they are used for feeding the giraffes and other animals.
We usually have 2-3 trucks that are dedicated tree collectors.. they roam around the area looking for them trees!!! But we are soooo short staff right now. Just trying to get them off the streets.. for some reason or another people like to set them on fire 🤦🏽 but we have dedicated Christmas tree pick ups on the weekends! We just drive around looking for trees! Next year we will go back to normal I hope! And able to recycle them all!
@@BulkyCrusher Ah thanks for the information, I did see a few videos on TH-cam from LA showing a FL pick up christmas trees but that was older so I assumed LA just stoppped collecting them seperate. Makes sense though that you mix them due to staff shortages, LABOS seems to be understaffed for quite a while now eh
Just like people who don't eat leftovers or throw away entire boxes of canned goods that are a month past "expiring". Companies want us to throw everything away and buy more so we can throw that away and start over and Americans are doing that every well
We have always recycled trees, and still recycle thousands! we have dedicated Tree pickups on weekends where we just drive around looking for trees... but since We are just very short handed right now, we are just trying to get them off the streets since some people like to light them on fire for some reason!
I love you bulky

do you check those powerwheel cars for batteries before crushing them?
Yes! Always do! Don't want them to catch fire! And they're supposed to be recycled!
@@BulkyCrusher good good! the truck where i am crushed a powerwheel the other day and it caught, had a nice lil bonfire in the street

Rip xmas trees. Why do we have to keep using real trees every single year ? Consumerism at its finest. :(
