I loved using this one. It turned out well because of the thick paper and the differences in size. It was an AMAZING catalogue, I was lucky to find it.
I love how you work on the whole book at the same time, instead of concentrating on one page. It's fascinating to see how you treat it like one piece, rather than collection of pages.
I love the cohesiveness of this journal. New subbie! I love me some Ali Brown…I really want to incorporate photos. Love all kinds of media! NEED TO SIMMPLIFY ! - Messy Mendy ❤️🙏🏻🖌
How could I have missed this journal?? This is definitely one of my absolute favourite things you've ever made! I'll definitely be on the lookout for catalogues like this now - empty art journals are always a bit intimidating but starting with a catalogue like this would probably make it easier for me. Thanks so much for sharing! Oh, and I really like how the mood of your art & journaling changes towards the end!
You and Essie just make me want to start art journalling again! Especially this subject, a busy mind, I feel all too well. And watching you work through it is SO special. Thanks for sharing!
I would say, I don't think I have time, but the truth is: I haven't made time for art journalling in many years. But I really need to start again. Not sure that it'll get filmed though! Not the first time anyway ;)
That was really cool! I've never seen you before and watching and listening to you, as you go through some challenges we face as first time Moms - watching you work through some frustration, and how you did it was inspirational. I'm way past your time in life, but now I have a lot of different frustrations, ie: adult children, which are behind a lot of my journaling and watercolor paintings. I get where you're coming from and I loved watching you work through it.
Thanks for such a lovely comment. Isn't it amazing how journaling helps bring our feelings to the surface, then helps us process them? I'm always surprised at what I feel when it comes out on paper. Motherhood is such a trip, and it's something that binds us all together
Wow, this is wonderful! I love the idea of using a catalog as a journal.

It's easier for me that way. And then I get to finish quickly.
You are an incredible artist.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon your videos. I am digging your style.
Thank you for such a kind comment!
I love this video. While watching it I took out my own junk journal and journaled along trying not to think too much. It was so much fun.

Your words are so lovely. You are so lovely.
Your comments brought back so many memories. Thank you!
This was fun, Caylee. Now, if I could only find a catalog with quotes in it!

Yay! I'm so glad.
Do I hear a South African accent there? Enjoyed watching your journal process. TFS!
Very proudly South African :D
Cannot miss that accent.
where is your class being given on minimalism?
will you work on this journal again someday? You mentioned someone in your video, and I didn't see the info on the video below?
Hey! It's over here: courses.cayleegrey.com/minimalist-art-journal/
Maybe when cutting tissue paper put a piece of printer paper with it. It might make it solid enough to make a perfect punch.
HEY! That's super clever! I'm definitely going to do that from now on. Thanks so much for sharing.
you. are. amazing.
YOU are, friend.
