7 months on, and I STILL come back to listening to this every few weeks...
A song with true meaning.
that's not Alanis Morisette material either
Can we take a minute to appreciate the backup singers! They killed it too!
By far my favourite song by Thelma Plum, with such a powerful message too! ❤
Absolutely stunning. Can't stop listening to this!! On replay all day!!!
It's a fantastic song
Original, stunning voice. Can’t wait to see her live.
Magnificent performance from everyone - instrumentalists, backing vox and of course, the wonderful Thelma. I so enjoyed hearing this on JJJ this morning. The YD&B cover was also brilliant!
I'm glad she did Better In Blak. Just brilliant!
I am man in his 50's and not much new moves me, but I was on a stagg doo in Budapest when I first heard this song. It was in a bar and my ears prickled up, I called up Shazzam to find out what it was. I then downloaded the album and I really love it. And this is but one brilliant song on an album with many.
so amazing Thelly!!!
Love the live version, absolutely gorgeous
What a awesome artist I love this song
Very touching once I understood the context. Thelma has a stunning voice - rock on!
I found this soug, and this artist, fairly recently. I absolutely love her work. Been binging on some interviews and stuff, this song was in response for a bunch of hate from trolls on social media? Or am I thinking of another song?
Stunning! Absolutely Gorgeous!
Awesome voice! Love the song.
Yeah Thelly !

Incredible song
A absolute thing of beauty
Shes beautiful and the song jams
Amazing song, made the decision easy for me to pre-order this album. Originally thought it was a break-up song, but that didn't seem right, but then heard her explain the meaning behind it. Truly heartbreaking hearing the real meaning behind it, it's a recurring thought train I've had all day.
What's the meaning behind it?
@@BoonMcNougat The song was a response to the lead singer of sticky fingers being a racist prick.
Gr8 song!
Very important story to tell 🥰 thank you
This is criminally underviewed
She is rad!!!
Awesome song! Keep going
Thelma oh my darling, Thelma, always amazing!
🧨🗣️
Good to see how they’ve all dressed. They look better in blak.
Purrrrrrrrrr 💜
Amazing
¡Muy buena! 👌🏻

❤️
Hey it's still great in March 2020!
Reading this in 2023
hummmm... wow
Fucking stunning xxx
Thelma is so subtly powerful. Yes I know I'm an oxymoron. That's the point though. She delivers her message of colour better than anyone.
Amazing song- is there a version without the explicit language anywhere? My son wants to use it for a school assignment, but we need a non explicit version.
Ive heard one on the radio so must be somewhere
J Wig thank you
Papa's trying
Love som tum
;)
80’s vibe. Sounds a bit like a Fleetwood MAC song.
This litlle bastard not bad
What do you think
Songs about as captivating as a drive from Melbourne to Darwin.
mad tune but why not promote another single?? why sing the song that gets played 400 times anyway
Message behind it I guess, she let some of the emotion come out this morning explaining the meaning behind it. Also ties in with the NAIDOC week narrative.
Because it fucking means something.
you sure it's her ? I don't recognise her
funny how she says "meedle". She's not from NZ that's for sure.
does she realise that she had a lighter skin she would be transparent ?
