    I have try to understand the concept of npsh sice last 2 yr. As this question was asked to me in asian paint company and i was given therotical definition and he was not satisfied.
    Today first time my concept becomes clear. Thanx..

    I hv watched lots of vdos since before regarding npsh and how liquid boils at low pressure at any temp but I did not understand completely in any vdos but today my all doubt have cleared thanks a lot🙏🙏🙏

    One more thing .. What is the GD² value (Inertia) in centrifugal pump , and is there possible that GD² value of pump is Greater than the GD² value of motor (Prime mover), If not than what will be the effect? Kindly explain

    I read on a name plate of pump, it ia written than npsh = 0.25 meter.
    What is the meaning of it.
    I understand that in any pump suction pr at the eye of imperller shall be greater than its vapour pr. and lower than atm.pr.
    How 0.25 m ask us that it is lower than atm pr. But greater than vapour pr.

      P = 0.1 × H × Sp. Gravity of water

      Option 1. Is it only Discharge head. ( means pr. at the pump dicharge)
      Option 2. Total head ( Discharge head - suction head) .

      By closing discharge valve start the pump and gradually increase speed upto full, and watch the discharge pressure, that pressure is call shut off pressure
