i think they said that because melody knowledge is more about notes and stuff which most musicians would know but i agree making said notes out of water and glassware instead of an instrument is something else. this dude put a lot of effort into this 👍
@@fuge511 Musicians have chromatic tuners. Heck, you can get a free app for that. It's very easy to pour water into a cup to make a specific note with the help of a chromatic tuner. It's just physics. A specific amount of water will always make one note, so you either pour some out or add some more. You can literally try it out yourself. Also, there's a good chance that they used a little bit of pitch correction to fix the tuning. Especially on the drops part, I felt like it was most likely pitch corrected a bit.
p.s. I'm not saying any this is straightforward and easy to do, but it's more tedious and time consuming than requiring advanced knowledge of "symphony and melody." Most people who have taken lessons for 2-3 years would have enough musical knowledge to make a song out of tuned water cups.
