The Tiger cartoon was a symbol of a campaign used during WWII in Sweden, it was Swedens version of Loose lips sinks ships, the name of the symbol and the campaign was "En Svensk TIger" and uses the fact that the Swedish word for the animal Tiger is spelled and actually pronounced exactly the same as for the word that means "Keeps quiet" or "Keeps his mouth shut."..Yeah, we had a pun to make our people not disclose sensitive information during WWII...

When I tried to play Sweden for the first time, I played as monarchist Sweden aswell. But when I invaded finland the soviets decided to send tanks to Finland (How am I supposed to fight the soviet tanks?!), then invade them on their own and after they took their claims, they invited the fins into their faction and destroyed me xD
the irony of the soviets helping finland against a swedish invasion is funny.

Imagine how powerful Scandinavia would have been in history if they were United because Denmark and Sweden spent most of their time fighting at other for centuries they could have made it a very powerful Empire
Denmark started it.
Scandinavia (If we included Finland and the entire Baltics in it to be generous) Would have a population of 33.1 million in the modern day, less than Canada and over 2x less than Germany (88.5m). Their GDP would be $1.694 trillion. For comparison, the UK's GDP is 2.8 trillion, Frances is 2.7t, Italy 2t, and Germany 3.8 trillion.
It's a fun idea, but in reality a united Scandinavia would only be a regional power, and the weakest one by far at that, rather than a superpower or empire. Their geography doesn't allow the kind of population that an empire or major power needs. Keep in mind I used ChatGPT for this info, so the data is 2 years out of date and the difference might be even worse.
@@uckbritley1305 The nordics including all the baltics would have a combined gdp of 2 trillion dollars. Norway also has a pretty hefty oil reserve. Combined the nordics would be a very strong power, perhaps not rivaling giants like the US and China but still a major power.
Another thing to take into consideration is that the nordics are some of the happiest, most well developed and most democratic countries (i'm a Swede) so even if our combined population isn't that high it would be, in my opinion the best country on earth to live in by most metrics, with hopefully a bright future ahead of us :)
@@uckbritley1305 Also as dominicadrean2160 said, imagine how strong the nordics would have been if they combined hundreds of years ago, something you didn't take into consideration. Probably with a much higher population and gdp, maybe even a higher GDP then France perhaps, who knows!

Not as hilarious as how long it took them to give Finland a focus tree despite it being a belligerent in WW2. FFS they gave focus trees to neutral Switzerland and the Baltics which didn't even exist by the the time WW2 broke out before they gave one to Finland.

Yeah, so RT56 France loses the Disjointed Government modifier when they create The Continental System faction, so there was no risk of them collapsing if they lost Paris.

You know youre history but id like to add that we traded with the allies just as much, in fact even more as the war went on. (Mmm money) We had a super high quality of steel product like bearings and it was almost vital for air production, and tanks in for the allies.

The tactic of the caroleans (karolinerna) called Gå på was just as much about the number of soldiers. Sweden did not have the manpower or the money for mercenaries to have drawn out fire fights. A battle had to be won quickly and the shock of bayonets, sabers and pikes (yes, the swedish army used alot of pikes) would do this.
However if the enemy absorbed the shock it left the army exposed.
