How do I feel about this ? Well, there's loads of things I keep hearing about including this one, SCCM, regarding helpdesk IT .. & I know this is just one of many things, including AD, that I won't get straight away unless I'm actually working with it .. but its good to try to know about these things regardless.

Trying this now on my Azure trial but it's failing as it requires four public IPs while the trial provisions only 1, and requires 8 regional cores but trial limited to 4.

Not sure why you'd run it completely in the cloud to manage on-prem stuff - it probably wil lend up costing a ton more than running it in hybrid (on-prem and then extending it with azure using its cloud management gateway where you get the best of both).
Adding to this its also a bad use of the cloud standing up servers like you would on prem since it doesnt have any of the advantages and all of the disadvantages. Cloud should be small workloads you can geo-disperse

I agree but this lab is for learning SCCM only not for production for prod you would have SCCM on prem connected to cloud and it will be in Hybrid mode thanks

I applied this Sccm template in my Azure. I was able to create a software package and deployed it to the software center and it works. However, I'm trying to deploy security updates but it doesn't show anything in SCCM. Can you direct me to which part I need to check since I checked online and was unable to find anything?

Does it means SCCM is being replaced soon ??

Hell no. Its being extended a ton every quarter. Everyone thinks its dying, its growing like crazy. Intune is too, but its an infant compared.
