But was a Contraption always meant to be like this, or were there different possible outcomes that got reduced to one single game mechanic by what we now call history?🤔
I liked that they had the gang dropping off donations to a food bank and giving a lunch to a homeless guy while they made their resolutions. It's a subtle nod to the fact gamers are overall pretty generous with charities (heck the LRR gang do Desert Bus For Hope every year, and have raised millions for sick children just by playing video games and telling jokes). It was also a nice way to acknowledge that Magic: The Gathering isn't everything in life, and there's more more important acts that these people are capable of considering and doing. Happy New Year, everyone.

I got it. Prancy Pants can use whatever rares you want, no limits, but anyone can buy your deck off of you at any time for $20 (after a game/tournament, as appropriate), essentially limiting the average cost of rares in the deck to 50 cents or less.
RE: introduction card slides. You need to use "easing" to make the cards sliding on screen appear less artificial. :) I am of course assuming you are using editing software that can utilize easing, like After Effects.
Honestly, was just thinking about if standard was tiered to stop it from being a wallet-jerking fest by Tier-ing the gameplay, assigning a "Card-score" like Battletech or Warhammers Battle value system. Perhaps also a combination score for cards that have unfair levels of combo potential, cost more to have both in the deck. Imagine scoring every card in existence though.

Why would that matter? Wizards is the primary market for Magic and a retailer like Card Kingdom is a secondary market. No issues with competition or conflict of interest there...

I'm playing a Jace deck in Alex's format.
You could make the card point costs equal to their gatherer rating, and you could just ban broken combos that dominate tournaments. That's it.
