Really enjoyed listening to this. Belinda is a wonderful actress. Her story about Gary Olsen brought a tear to the eye. He was such a wonderful actor and I often wonder what other things he would have gone on to do. The final episode of 2 point 4 is almost a perfect ending to the show,even though it does seem that they did hope to do a 9th series. It's so sad that Gary passed only 9 months after it was aired.

I have always wondered if they would have done another series of 2 point 4 children because the Millennium Experience episode which was the last episode did feel as if there was going to be another series the way it ended. It’s just something I often think about would they have done another series if Gary Olsen hadn’t died and how many more series would they have done. I think they probably would have done 2 more seasons to get to 10 then they would’ve finished.

Listened to the whole podcast earlier this afternoon. Glad to hear that there were plans to do a series 9 and Gary wanted to keep doing 2 point 4 Children. Really Sad that Gary died not long after series 8. However there is closure knowing that there would have been more 2 point 4 children. Belinda Lang is fabulous and incredibly honest. Sometimes we don’t appreciate what we have got in our lives at that moment in time. Only discovered 2 point 4 children recently and it’s a great show the Halloween episodes are great.

I think this is the first time we ever heard what form of cancer that Gary Olsen had as it was never disclosed even to the press its really sad what happened to him. I always wondered the reason he moved to Australia i heard it was cause he wanted a fresh start with his career especially since the BBC wouldnt give bigger roles outside of 2Point4 Children

Nice interview. Odd to think that Belinda doesn't recall the finished episodes of Dear John that well. Hopefully she'll go back and watch them and see how amazing she was!
