Sally Choi I taught myself how to crochet!!!? Michaels had yarn on clearance for $2.50, and hooks for around two dollars, so I thought it was the perfect time to try to crochet! I was told a long time ago the only failure is to not try at all! I’m so glad I did this and I am hooked! I made two hats and I am finishing a granny square blanket! I hope everyone tries a new hobby during this time of lockdown! It helps give your mind a reprieve, and helps fill that creative void but I think we all have right now! Sending love your way❤️
I went and picked up a grocery order from Meijer and they accidentally gave us some extra items. I am not mad, though. They gave us grapes and a pizza! I also am reading the new Twilight book Midnight Sun. It’s very long and pretty bad. I am almost done with it. I definitely can’t recommend it unless you are a Twilight super fan. I also got a new box of a different brand of clarinet reed in the mail. Years ago now they discontinued the type that I love and I have been trying everything that I can get my hands on to try to replace those. I stock piled them when the company went out of business. They lasted a long time for me since I didn’t play much for years and years. This past January I joined a semi pro symphonic band and have been playing a ton so now I am desperate to find something that I like. I played through the whole box of 10 yesterday and this brand really has promise. I am hopeful!
I love Totoro! This weekend was my boyfriend's birthday and we had a fire and a couple friends over (socially distant, outside of course!). Also we bought some Halloween decorations because this will be our first Halloween in our new house!
I love the color story of that palette. It reminds me of the new ones from Colourpop that are cactus themed. I wouldn’t be mad if someone gave me that Lime Crime palette but l agree that the formula seems outdated. I tend to like outdated formulas, though. I really love the Urban Decay Naked line formula and I know that these days people do not favor it. This was a really fun video! Thanks for making it. I hope that you have a good weekend. Stay safe!
So many of Colourpop's palettes this year look like Colourpop's other palettes even from this year lol. I like the urban decay naked palette too but maybe it's because it's mostly shimmers so those formulas are alright for me
So glad you posted this review even though it isn’t new. Do you have any suggestions for similar greens with a better formula? I’m looking for matte and super sparkly sage greens.
hmmmm I still don't have a lot of greens, but I hear the Colourpop The Child is good. I also really like my Kaleidos Futurism Sci Fi palette but it's really hard to get your hands on
I actually have some singles from the Devinah in the mail to me because I've been lowkey lusting after this palette ever since it came out. I realized that I probably have all the colors needed to dupe this except some sage green mattes and olive green shimmers so I just bought singles in those tones. This'll be my first time trying Devinah but I've heard good things about their formula so fingers crossed. I will definitely use this video for reference when I make my dupe palette!
The sage green and other greens are super blah in the Lime Crime palette. I bet you'll love Devinah! I've never tried but I know Mia's Virtual Vanily loves them.
I totally agree on the color story, colourpop has few with same colorstory. As for ND I do think the same, let's hope so for spring next year 😁. I didn't get metropolis as it's too warm for my liking.
I don't think I could ever pay more than $35 out of my pocket for a palette still even though a mid-size zendo or retro palette color story would be gorg
Hi Sally, the colors are nice but when you swatched them it was different I thought, not the greatest of your palettes I've seen. So you babysat, I'm getting pumpkins this weekend and helping finishing decorating the house, maybe if there's time, watch a scary movie 🎃🎃
I agree with you, not the best formulas but at least it’s adding some rarer shades. I wouldn’t have paid for it knowing what I know now, though. And that weekend sounds just perfect!
Obscure (light green) is actually a satin that looks very radiant in the inner corner. It is very deceiving looking matte in the pan though, I must admit. Nevertheless, it is one of my favourite shadows in this palette.
What are you doing this weekend? I hope it's at least one fun thing!
Yesterday I watched My Neighbor Totoro~

It's so cool that you swatched colors by color "types", it gives a whole other perspective on the palette 😊

@@drsallymanderchoi I like the UD shimmer because they are not overly metallic. Super metallic shadows do not look great on my lids anymore!
I recently got that!! Lovveeee the color story
I expect that Natasha Denona will put out a palette that looks super similar to this in 2020-2021!
Sally Choi I bet your right! I am tented by the Colourpop ones that are similar.
Obscure is green to pink shine duochrome))) to see it you need maybe different lightning)
And radiant is golden-pink translucent highlighter)
The shades looked so interesting in the pan to bad it wasn’t as good as it could have been. 😕
Yeeee what a shame

@@drsallymanderchoi I love Mia! I've been wanting to try the brand for forever so i'm excited!
Tbh I wish there was more pop to the shimmers because I feel like something lack luster isn’t worth it especially for a high end palette!
yeee I wouldn't have been happy if I bought this
thanks for the detailed review :)
Glad it was helpful! i've since decluttered this palette
I don't care if it's outdated 😆 I love greens. But I am glad I saw this video because the shimmers seem pretty lack luster.
I so much prefer my Kaleidos Sci fi green palette to this bc the formula is better, it’s more compact, and I have pinks and neutrals elsewhere
those sparkle shades - are all toppers to me and with the hell of a sparkle (not a metallic though) ... ))
Great review. I love this color story! I wanted the dupe by UCANBE but it sold out. I actually heard UCANBE is better. I think it was only $12!
I’ve never tried UCANBE!
Same here!

No but I'd like to get and try it out, do you have it?

It seems like it would be a pretty brightening shade for the inner corner!
My Obscure is not matte...it's a shimmer. That's weird.
I realized while swatching that it is a very soft shimmer! Not a ton of base color but it could be a nice light catching effect
Fun video
Thanks!
Tienes muy bellas manos son preciosas
gracias! Tengo dedos largos que eran buenos para piano :D
