Indie Makeup at LUXURY Prices?? // Adept Cosmetics Seahorse Palette // May 2023

- Adept Cosmetics is coming out hard this month with their new Seahorse Eyeshadow and Pressed Pigments Palette. Ya'll this baby retails for a staggering $140 😲😲 When I told the hubs he, quite understandably, wanted to know why. What is in it?
So here's the thing. There are some brands that are very expensive because you are paying for the name (Tom Ford, YSL, Valentino, and the like). Sure the makeup might be good, but it is rarely as exceptional as the price tag would suggest.
In the case of indie brands you, more often than not, are paying for the materials. This is a 15 pan palette that is ALL multichrome and duochrome which all have expensive ingredients. Additionally it is a vegan formula and free of talc and glitter.
I am sure that you are wondering if this is worth the $140 price tag and that is something that you will have to judge for yourself. Personally, I am very happy with my purchase however there are, in my opinion at least, a few things that could have been improved upon. There are some shades that are more similar than I would want especially for the price. That being said, these are absolutely GORGEOUS with outstanding quality.

These brands need to stop releasing so many GORGEOUS things! 😆😅 If you decide to buy it, I hope that you love it (while I don't personally have a code with Adept, I know that lots of people do so make sure to save what you can because she is a pricey baby!)

My first video seeing you. I have most of the adept pallets. I was buying Adept before they did plain Jane. The last two palettes I didn’t purchase. Mostly because I’m not working anymore. I can’t purchase right now but hoping I can get it before it’s gone
Welcome Veronica! I am so happy that you found me 😊 While the OG Plain Jane is the only other Adept palette I have, I have two full magnetic palettes worth of singles too that I just adore. It has been so much fun to watch her grow her brand over the years and I must say that the formula has just gotten better and better! I hope that you are able to add this one to your lovely collection as well at some point.

Thanks Ashley. I am new to your channel and have only started my interest in Indie brands the last few months. I am loving them. This palette is so pretty, but I am torn about that price tag. I have the Adept Plain Jane Remastered palette and just got the Gourmande Girls palette because it was a lot less expensive. I always thought I had to be careful with shimmers because of my mature age, but since I have been using them, I have got quite a few compliments which encourages me. Lol. Awwww I'm so thrilled that you are getting into more indie brands!! While this palette is gorgeous and the quality it wonderful, if you are looking for multichromes I would also recommend Terra Moons. They make absolutely incredible singles and they have promotional deals from time to time as well.
