With all the hatred this character recieved Sydney as an actress is phonomenal, she'll make it big in Hollywood. And if not I'll forever watch Sydney with a sad sigh. Her beauty and energy flows into her acting that a lot of viewers felt the hatred and sadness.

If Rue can have a redemption arc every 3 episodes because *uh drugs, it wasn't me*, Cassie must have one too! It was so sad that Lexi and her mother didn't have the ability to empatize with her at all... If something like this happens to a close person IRL you must support that person too (Obviously is not OK to fuck your friends ex). In this season of Euphoria Cassie screamed for help every minute on screen and nobody took a second to understand her and ask "Girl are you okay? How are you feeling? Do you need something? I'm here for you" because their lifes are more important than Cassie's, so the only person that "cared" for her was Nate, a fucking spoiled asshole that only wanted to use her like her new puppet replacement. She thought he loved her because all she knew was that feeling loved meant being sexy and having sexual relationships and being insulted/despised. In one of the two last episodes where she tells Nate "you can tell me how to dress, you can tell me who I can talk to etc etc...". That was made so the audience understood 100% that she was in a very toxic relationship and had a distorted vision of reality, her script is written so you can see that she has a big problem and needs help, or at least to suffer and then evolve a lot, developing her character further.
As someone who grew up with an older sister exactly like Cassie, I gotta tell you that they make it very hard to love them let alone sympathize with them. They constantly mentally and emotionally abuse you because they’re so wrapped up in their own pain that they can’t see how they’re hurting you. They also refuse to own up to their mistakes and will never listen to you when you do try to reach out to them. Growing up with a sibling like that is frustrating, exhausting, and emotionally draining. Even now, as an adult in my 30s, I know I will always love my big sister, but there’s good reasons for why we don’t talk much anymore. So why I wouldn’t say Cassie is a bad person, just a very damaged one, I also don’t blame Lexi for calling her out on her bs through her play. Sometimes they push you to a point where you can’t take it anymore and you end up doing something crazy. Even more so since she’s a teenager and teens tend to lack the maturity to think about the repercussions of their actions.
