I like what a Founding Father said, “The duty is ours, the results are God’s “. (Thank you, David Barton.). “The duty is ours, the results are God’s”. We are here for God’s purposes not our own. Good news is in Paul’s explanation of his suffering (our suffering) in 2 Corinthians 4:5-18. Apostle Paul was trying to let us know that “we ARE being renewed in our spirits, everyday” though our flesh hates the pain or discomfort. Our spirits are living in heavenly relationship with Christ right now and forever. We will continue in our physical bodies, each of us, until our earthly assignment is over…then it’s back to headquarters.😊
Ecclesiastes: it is better to spend time in the house of the despairing, than a house filled with joy. ( we want a peaceful, happy life, but we learn much more in our despair and sadness.). Receive His GRACE. It IS sufficient.
This is a wonderful message. I just recently started listening to your sermons and your podcasts and it has helped me change my whole perspective on how I go about living my life. Your words have given me the encouragement to face difficult circumstances in my life.
