Ken Warnick, who wrestled at Clarion State in the 1960's was the first person I saw use the Sladle. He pinned a Lock Haven wrestler using the spladle during the 1966/196 season. Later in the wrestling season Ken pinned three wrestlers at the Division II tournament, callled NAIA. Wade hadn't even started wrestling back then. Wade improved the move and gave it the name, spladle.
I am in no way questioning this wrestling pioneer, but if you are strong in bis/lats an uppercut grip is better (bottom hand under). You can pinch the head making them immobile.
Danny Mitchell MMA mind me asking where he was coaching last year? I started wrestling under him when I was like 11 and I’m 19 now. I’d love to catch up with him sometime

I love putting this on guard pullers in BJJ.

Good way to force a grown man to “Give Birth.”
