Well, I think the reason was because the hype for the show was CATASTROPHIC!!! Everyone wanted to see how demented, unhinged, and deformed their favorite nostalgic characters could be! And the FNF Fandom though, "You know what? Let's Pibbify (Character/s here)" Most were amazing like Steven Universe and Adventure Time! (Although AT might have been a cheat considering that their designs were already shown, but the FNF modders had creative take on it), but what most people can only think about when they hear "Pibby" is the half assed, "Sprinkle some black goop here, put some random blocks of colors there, and done!" on already exists fnf sprites. Hope we get more news on the show!
Some of them not even being good. One of them was a Pibby sans mod where they just added glitches to him and put the scroll speed on like 100 on one of his songs.
Not really the biggest fan of Rainbow Friends or Pibby but this is a really nice cover, great work! Also I like the detail of most of the Pibby characters used for each color's segments matching that color.
