That board looks so difficult but also so fun! I bet even though it is obviously scary and hard to control, you each had the time of your life and smiling/laughing! That is what it's all about! Everyone was real awesome on that Braillecopter! Bring it back out later sometime when JD, Mogely, Chris, Ricky, Nigel & Jason can give it a few goes each! Then towards the end of the video everyone finally switches back to their own actual skateboards to see and tell us how it impacts/affects using the real board after riding the Braillecopter for so long! I imagine the board control and strength training would increase one's abilities after 'learning' how to ride and control that crazy board first. Then again it could also (possibly) totally mess with one's skating if they get too used to the spinning, tilting, and uncontrollable turning, lol!

Add magnets under the board so it locks straight but you can push it to spin with a little force.

Yo this is badass. My first thought was Ollie-ing sideways while riding 😂😂😂 let’s see this!!!
This board needs opposing north/south facing magnets. Use a pair of magnets for the nose and a pair for the tail. The magnets will to go between the top of the metal frame and the underside of the deck. For best results I would extend the frame past the trucks to be underneath the nose/tail of the deck; as well as imbed the magnets into the deck/metal frame. When the frame and deck are aligned, the magnetic force holds the alignment until enough twisting force breaks the magnetic bond. That way a skater in theory could have enough resistance to be able to still using pivoting weight to turn and still have the ability to rotate in select situations.
Imagine having enough control to lock into a nose slide and then after locking in you can twist your body to 180+ on the deck and still maintain enough balance /lock to keep sliding!

thisnis brilliant. it"s like a caster board, except you actually do have control over the heading of the boarding, just not the heading of yourself. If you could learn to just let yourself spin freely and constantly offset your inputs to compensate for the rotation offset... it's technically controlable (just insanely hard)

You need rare earth or electromagnets on each end so the when the board rotates it catches the magnet and gives you more control. The board may be usable after this. If you used electromagnets, you could even have a wireless button to release. You could, power magnet> kickflip > release magnet > spin > power magnet

Now if the front and back had magnets to help hold that when you turn hard enough it would click off and spin that would be awesome. Make it a bored when you wanna and able to do weard spins when you want.

What if you put some magnets under the board so it has some pull to keep the board centered but doesn’t lock it. So you could in theory spin it and catch it centered with a little more control?

I’m 35 years old I haven’t skateboard since I was 16 I have to learn everything all over again because I forgot how to do everything I can do pop shove it, shove it, I can do lip stalls I can drop in I can grind but I can’t do an Ollie or a kick flip
I watch these videos all the time, but I’m still on the grind because I’m using skateboarding as a way to get through my mental health
